Ouch...I was hoping he was not going to pry the birds frozen feet off.
I guess there was no warm water available. Good idea to use his breath.
Hope there was no permanent frost damage to the feet & the bird is OK.
Least he can fly now & recover.

What a lovely thing to do. The poor thing would have died quickly being there in the cold without moving, no food etc. or be easily predated on
