Caught Cilla taking a bath

First time I've seen her actually do it.

Just not in the place I would expect...

it's blurry but hopefully you can still see what's going on (curse my shaky hands)

I have never actually seen any of my cockatiels actively taking a bath! They are very much so birds who like to be misted usually
Mr Peepers likes this.

Alexandrine parakeets, Indian ringneck parakeets, crimson rosellas, cockatiels, red fronted kakarikis, budgies, black masked lovies, black cheeked lovies, Fischer's lovies & peach faced lovies

My tiels all use to fly over to me if I was washing dishes or even brushing my teeth and jump on my hands to get in the water asap. I found my tiels more interested in bathing then most of my budgies.

Now Mr Peepers? He was a bathing maniac, I had to change his drinking water several times a day because he was always dunking his head in it and trying to splash water on his body. I put a fresh dish/tub of water for him next to his cage and he bathed in that a few times a day as well, canary's love their baths!

All five of my birds hate water, but apparently Priscilla is the exception! Elvis doesn't even bother.

The budgies hate it. Sam actually gets in the vegetable bowl and uses the carrots to take a bath. Lemon and Bud will just sit on the sides and eat them when they get a chance. I've never caught them taking baths yet.

With my budgie flock I get a handful of spinach, kale etc. and put it in a shallow dish on the aviary floor with a teeny bit of water coating it. They will swarm it It's so cute

It's cute either way to me!

I'm still looking for a way to get the boys to. They may just be the ones who dont' like baths.
