This naughty boy figured out how to open his cage today... And not like on accident either; he got out over and over again until I figured out a way to keep it closed!
I certainly know that problem. With the smaller parrots I use a dog clip but with the Cockatoo's who can open the dog clips I use padlocks and don't leave the keys in or near them.
None of my tiels ever have, but I have had budgies, Conures, and like 6 Ringnecks learn. My first budgie would let herself out of her cage, and go attack other birds INSIDE THEIR CAGES.
Thank you for the information and for your courtesy. I am a former dog owner (hence breed) and have my first 2 parrots. I have always wanted a parrot and am enjoying my boys so much, a forum such as this really helps a novice.
Thank you for the other photos! I can definitely see the hue, it's really beautiful and unique
