I'm not sure if its an injury due to it being in a fight with other birds but it looks serious enough for you to get the bird to an avian vet and have it checked out and treated.
I would separate the bird from the rest of the flock and keep him in its own cage while you figure out what's happening here. Good luck!
It could be a few different things to be honest. I've seen a bird like that that had had a seed husk stuck under their eyelid and another that had caught it on something. The biggest concern would be the weakening of the eye muscles from psittacosis so it would definitely be best to rule everything out. Let us know how you get on!
He was a beautiful bird and he had an amazing life just viewing that he had time out and about with people and he did some free flight in beautiful nature. Your tribute video of him was very touching.
I'm very sorry for your sadness. How old was he? He looks like he had a good life. Did the vet say what it was?
