Hello she is beautiful hey i had her for 4 days and 3 days helping her head get her feathers back with Avi molt and she has a lack of calcium and we are going to take her to a vet soon. We rescued her of the street. So that is probably why she looks like that. Kind regards bird boy.

Hey, just wanted to tell you thank you for the advice with the biting. It is working some. She LOVES being out of her cage, and staying awake past bedtime to talk. lol, guess she is just like my daughter. lol. My thumb is bruised from a really bad bite yesterday and today, all black and purple but I don't pull away when she bites or scream because I know that will make it worse. I think as we have her longer too, it will subside some. Just trying to keep her off my shoulder since she thinks my ears are chew toys too, and that hurts. lol. I appreciate the advice. I am new to the bird world, but thankful that she is doing very well. My daughter has had her budgie for a year now, but he was so easy and I wanted a baby a little more advanced, guess that is why I fell in love with the p'lets first. Love my GCC though. Thank you again! Found the cozy corner thing at fosters and smith, gonna order it next week, since I want to order more than just that and get a few other things too.

Hey, I am just now seeing your last message. So sorry...I am much easier to reach via PM, email, or FB. I have been crazy busy in recent weeks too. I just checked and your prize pack did ship to MC Rescue of NM. I do not have pics - so sorry...because the items do not ship from me or my home...all of our products ship from a bird-free warehouse or from Jillian directly (she does not own a bird, and is my niece, starving artist recently graduated from college, making bird toys for my store to earn a little extra money, and making lots of birdies happy too). I bet if you wrote to Anna of MC Rescue NM on FB you would get a prompt response from her. She is super busy with the 60 or so rescue birds she has to care for, family, etc...but she is easiest to reach on FB. I don't see a pic posted from her, but knowing her schedule, it's possible she hasn't had time to open the package yet...

Ahh I see we had a failure to communicate...lol Thank you for the congrats!! Just send the gifts from all of us at Talk Parrots and Persnickety Parrot. As I said my birds have all they need and want... and then some...lol. I wish that all birds were so well looked after. I bred my budgies and kept all 4 babies cuz no one else can look after them like I do...lol. So I am not breeding them again. It was my 1st time and I enjoyed it a lot but I can't keep any more!. Thank you for sponsoring the contests it is very generous of you! If you would be so kind have your friend take a pix of the gifts before you send them and post them for us all to see... thanks ( if you can't I understand) ... ParrotletsRock.

Oooh, now I understand what you were asking. Sorry, I thought you were asking about the donations through our store. So sorry! I just saw your Archie won the contest! Huge congrats! I am going to have Jillian send your prizes and a few extras to Macaw & Cockatoo Rescue of New Mexico. Thank you so much!!! :) BTW, they also have a Facebook page!

This is a very new thing that I'm doing. If you have any suggestions, I'm open to them. :) Every dollar donated goes toward wholesale cost of the toys (I take no profit), and I also pay for shipping. I'm trying to get about $100 for each rescue before I send the toys so that I can make the shipping cost go further.
Speaking of the contest, do you know who won the November Contest? I can't find the thread to contact the winner. Were you the winner? If so, would you like to donate your prize to one of the rescues?

Hey, There are 5 rescues to choose from, so wherever the money is designated, is where it goes. When each rescue reaches about $100 I contact them and ask what type of toys are needed most and then choose them from the entire store. I have just sent the first big box of toys to Best Friends Parrot Garden. They should receive them early next week if not sooner. I have a list of the names of the people that donated, and that information is also being sent to them electronically. Best Friends Parrot Garden has a FB page - check it out. I bet that they will share pics of the toys they receive when it arrives. They requested giant sized toys so I sent all BIG BIRD toys with wood to chew. :)
