Does anybody happen to know at what age you should stop breeding your African Grey's? I know you start breeding around 5 years old, but I can't find anywhere that says when to stop :(

I'm not sure but I can imagine they can breed for some time though surely? I think a bird can breed from sexual maturity up until quite an old age of they're not bred. I think a female Harris hawk at the centre they have bred every year is in her late twenties now! She's still going good and they have flown four generations from them :D

True, I do think think though that they should be a bit less, cause I've been pricing them and usually its around $1000 to $1200. But I'm going to think it about and as soon as the money I'm waiting for comes in I'll talk to them and see if they'll take $1200 for them, cause nobody wants to buy them cause of there age, worst the can say is no and then I'll have to decide if I still want them or not. I'm just kinda worried about buying them at that age, given I know nothing about how the've been taken care of, for one thing I can't lose that much money and for another I don't want to get attached and them die on me. They are also totally wild, I guess we'll see what happens :giggle:. But I think it would be so much fun to raise CAG's from babies.
