I haven't been very active here lately. I'll be coming here a lot more from now on, and I have lots of photos to post.
Cockatiels - they're all good, I have 5 females and 5 males now, they're in separate cages and are pretty happy with that, no males to boss them around.
I *had* 13 Cockatiels, but gave 3 to my brother due to him giving me one of the rescued Indian Ringnecks back that he got, there was complaints about the noise and such. Sadly, one of the Cockatiels (Jasper), passed away recently and we buried him in my backyard.
Budgies - they're also doing well. I got them a huge cage and they all live together now, they love all the space and having each other.. I'll have to post a photo of their newish cage.
Green Cheek Conures - OK, I haven't posted about this yet.. but, when I got Freya and Cian, Freya had a growth under her eyelid, took her to the Avian Vets, they looked at it and said I need to take her to a specialist, the specialist is located a fair distance away, and I unfortunately had no way of getting her there, seeing her suffer like that made me miserable, and then a guy took her in and said that he'd get her seen and have the growth removed, well I lost contact with the guy and haven't heard anything since.
I still have Freya's mate, Cian though.. he's doing okay, I think he's dying for a friend, but he hates my other GCC, Leila.
Leila is Leila, she's so talkative and talks and talks like there's no tomorrow, lol. I got her a new cage this month, she's loving it!
Quaker (Keiko) - Keiko's fab, he talks lots, he is a grub, but he's still a big sweet heart and I adore him to pieces..
Keiba (Indian Ringneck) - Keiba's still not all that fond of me, but he doesn't "hate" me like he used to, he deals with me, I can handle him and such, but mum is still his favorite person, of course. He shares a cage with Skylar, and they get along so well.. Keiba tends to act like a daddy towards Skylar.
Oh and he talks now too.. only a few words!
"kiss *kiss noise"
"what, what, what"
There's more but can't quite work the words out yet!
And last but not least..
Skylar (Indian Ringneck) - like I said above, Skylar came to me from my brother because of noise complaints, she's on the loud side, but it's definitely bearable, I mean, Keiba CAN be loud, but Skylar is non stop, lol.
She's a little munchkin, she's tame but is more of a bird bird rather then a person bird.
The other 6 baby Indian Ringnecks I rescued all went to great homes, but unfortunately one died. I still get updates on one, and that's because he lives 4 mins up the road and belongs to a young girl who loves him and spoils him rotten.
