Baffled by non - non stick pans

I'm trying to find a frying pan that doesn't have a non stick coating but I'm not having much luck.

Most pans have non stick in their description but some just don't say at all whether they do or don't. The online shops I've emailed have been less than helpful as well. One suggested that pans with a copper base were safe to use but the pan they linked me to had virtually no information about what was and was not used. I've seen some stainless steel pans that appear to not be coated with anything but I can't know for sure.

Help!

I live in the UK if it helps.

Lots of stainless steel here say they have non stick coating on them. Would I be right in thinking that this is always a black coating so any stainless steel that looks completely stainless won't have a coating?

That I'm not sure about... but our stainless pans are all stainless, no black coating or anything on them.

I believe the stainless steel that like silver with no black coating are exactly that: stainless steel with no nonstick coating.
