My first tattoo :D

I got my very first tattoo yesterday morning. SO COOL. It didn't even hurt when I was like majorly scared. I felt like such an idiot haha. But yeah. It felt fine and I couldn't care less about the feeling of it. I can't wait for my next hehe!

But yeah, I'll pop up a picture

p.s - it's just under the back of my neck

.......

I'm jealous. I want a tattoo eventually. But even if I could get one now, I don't think I would, just because I would like some more time to think about what I'd want. I mean, tattoos last forever, and I don't want to regret getting one. I know this girl, and she got Hello Kitty tattooed on her. She's really young, and I have this feeling she might eventually regret getting it. It wasn't even a super reasonable tattoo like yours, it was Hello Kitty. Not saying I don't like Hello Kitty, because I do, but still.....

I like yours! What does it say?

I was thinking like small stars or vines going from the underside middle part of my wrist, and wrap around to some of the upper side and then across part of the top of my hand (if you understood that) but I don't want a very obvious tattoo that will ever prevent me from getting a job and such.

All of my tattoos are able to be hidden by a polo shirt and pants so I can work anywhere without a problem I also have my ears gauged out to a 2 with three holes in each and a cartilage piercing. But I use plugs that are subtle and look like big studs so no one cal tell if I don't tell them Oh, the woes of having to be a school teacher! I really want a brand and microdermals, as well as a huge back piece, but those will have to wait until I have $$ and can get away with visible dermals. I want "wings" which is three dermals in a line under the collar bone. I'm a bit of a body mod buff, if you hadn't noticed ;D

My boyfriend had gauges, but let me tell you, almost everybody in my high school has them now. It's like the new "cool" thing. So is this whole "scene" style everybody's obsessed with. It is getting on my last nerves.

Believe me, as someone who has been into the mody mod scene since I was 12 (so almost 12 years lol), it annoys me to NO END to see these kids being so stupid about it, gauging the crap out of their ears and getting tattoos that have no meaning - they're just going to hate themselves in 5 years when they realize they've mutilated their ears and need corrective surgery to get rid of the hole and they're stuck with their stupid tattoos.

On the other hand, I'm happy to see there is so much more acceptance for it, as irritating as it is to have every little 16 year old running around with funky hair, claiming to listen to "my" music, and with 10 gauges in their ears and bragging, but... it does serve a very good purpose of building a tolerance and acceptance of it. The main reason I only have a 2g is because I have to keep conservative to be a school teacher or I would be at 00 lol. I would also have full tattooed sleeves, dermals, an eyebrow and lip piercing... But that will have to wait till I'm a college professor with tenure or I'm a successful breeder and can make enough to break even while hubby brings home the bacon

I understand all of that. Although I haven't had many body mods, mainly because my mom doesn't allow me to get a lot, and also I'm kind of the baby when it comes to pain, I've dressed a little crazier and different since I was in maybe fifth grade. Everyone would make fun of me and call me "emo" or whatever, all the way through middle school. That's when this whole "scene" style was NOT IN at all. I was the different one then. Since I've been in high school and this "scene" thing is growing so rapidly, I've changed my style just into a sort of layed back kind of way. Sweaters, Converse, maybe some ripped baggy jeans. I've always hated being put under a label. I just wanted to be me. I think now more than ever, I'm completely comfortable with myself and happy about who I am. I'm completely just being me.

Also, by the way, you're very pretty, Jenny!

I don't know about gauge sizes either. My boyfriend does, but I honestly don't care since I don't have them and I don't want them.

I guess I wouldn't mind small ones. It's not a real big priority of mine, though.

Thanks! We were always called 'freaks' The goth kids called me a poser. But I had purple hair and just wore whatever t-shirt I felt like and usually a pair of baggy jeans, bondage pants, or boys shorts I never really fit in a specific group. I was in the AP, or advanced, program in school so I sat with the nerdy kids - one was wicca so didn't fit in, one was an anime dork and didn't fit in, then there was me Good times!

They sizes I go by are like needle size, they're standardized here in the US. I don't know if that's an international standard, and since it's the US, I would assume it's our own strange little way of measuring it

I've always been a little on the weird side anyway, then I started wearing dark clothes, funky hair styles and just random different crazy mismatched things. I wonder why people spend so much time trying to look like something or be something, definitely when they aren't that at all. It is such a waste of time. I've found my passion (birds) and that's what I like to spend my time doing. Not trying to impress people or gain popularity. This is why I want out of high school. Constant drama and very stupid people who are into stupid things.

I used to be really into dressing alternatively and I still love the look of it - if I could afford it, I would buy all Japanese punk clothes and historical fashion (i LOVE the romantic/victorian gothic look) but... It's too expensive and, again, as a school teacher, I'm locked into this school marm look lol. But I've cut my hair short and unique, but classy, and I still do my thing. Just have to make other people happy, unfortunately. I would love to go back to high school, in a way, because I had the freedom to dress how *I* wanted and do what *I* wanted
