Is there any cheats?

For the Sims 3? Like in the second one there was cheats for money,Alien babies, rewinding age, pets under control, faster pregnancies etc. Is there any cheats like that for the Sims 3 because I really don't want to have to actually feed them and get a job etc.

Yes, motherlode works just like it did in the Sims 2! I think a lot of the cheats are the same. "TestingCheatsEnabled true" is the same as in the Sims 2. If you haven't heard of that one, it can do a lot, although I don't like to use it myself. I don't really cheat to get money either, as I like to earn money. The testing cheats can make you friends, speed up pregnancy (at least it did in the Sims 2) and do a lot of other stuff, but as I said before, I don't like to use that cheat so I'm not sure about the differences between it and how it worked in the Sims 2.

If you want to give your Sims family a particular amount of money, type in "TestingCheatsEnabled true" and then after you click enter, put in another code, "FamilyFunds [insert household name here] [insert amount of money here]." So for instance, if I wanted the Williams family to have 30,000, I'd put in "FamilyFunds Williams 30000" and press enter. If you want to turn of testing cheats, type in "TestingCheatsEnabled false" and it should turn off.

Hope this helps! You can always search for more cheats on the internet. They're everywhere.

Ive used all those cheats on the second one but when i build a house I like to have everything in it before hand then they can get jobs and stuff. but my game doesn't work so... it said I need to update when its already updated.

That stinks....For a while my Sims 3 game didn't work. I bought the rest of the expansion packs, loaded them onto my computer, and so it updated my game and fixed everything and the game worked again. So maybe you have to do that?

You see, when I was younger, I used cheats to make my Sims moods great all the time. But it just got boring. What's the point of playing if they are rich and never need anything? The only time I really use cheats is to get more money to build a house for my Sims, other than that, I don't like to use them.

But I like my maxmotives I already used motherlode once to buy a stove so my sim wouldn't starve! I'm not even sure I can use maxmotives on the sims 3. I finally found out how to make more then one family on the sims 3 I could seriously stay up all night Playing. XD

Another cheat I just remembered that I use more than others is picking a pregnant Sim's baby's gender. It's really easy, and you don't have to put any codes in. If you want a boy, buy about twenty apples for throughout the pregnancy. If you want a girl, do the same but instead but watermelons. After your Sim throws up for the first time after getting pregnant and is not visibly pregnant, have them eat a ton of apples/watermelons. Like ten, just to make sure. Keep eating, even after you Sim is stuffed. Supposedly, that's all you need to do, but just to be safe, I have my Sim continue eating apples/watermelons throughout her whole pregnancy. It's also easier than cooking meals.

that is just weird... but I will when My sims turn into young adults (there only teens now) I can't even get them to date! Where do you buy the watermellon/Apples the store?
And what sex do you perfer your sims to have?

Yeah, at that supermarket place. Or you can grow some. And it depends on what family I'm playing.

I've only played the original Sims, but I used to use the money cheat on my sims - That way they would have everything they need. I would build a big house, fill it with people, then give them free will to do whatever they want. I didn't give them jobs, or anything, just let them roam the house and hang with neighbors. It was fun to me to give them free will and watch the interpersonal relationships develop, tho I would give them a nudge in the right direction at times

I always used the relationship cheat to fastened the relationships up instead of waiting.

I always thought it was most fun to see what they did and who paired up - I had a set of skins for the Lord of the Rings cast and it was hilarious to see who paired up on their own! I also used to make all my friends as sims and see who paired with who - always good for a cheap laugh to see two of your male friends as a couple in the game
