My weight loss so far!

Hi guys. I had to share this because I'm feeling super proud! I've been on Slimming World for 6 weeks tomorrow. I didn't lose anything last week as I hadn't been able to stick to the diet with the hectic house moving and what not but so far in 5 weeks I had lost 1 stone & 1 pound! That's a lot of weight to shift already and I feel so much more like my old self again! I used to be tiny, even smaller than Jack and he's not far from being mistaken for a twig, but when I went on to a certain medication I just ballooned and since then I remained the same but I HATED how I looked. I know I wasn't gigantic, but it's not me and it doesn't feel like me. I've got some photo comparisons for proof!

Here's me before the diet

Here's me now!

I can't wait to get to my old self again. I know I have a very large chest and wide hips so I'm not going to be tiny everywhere, but I'm just glad to be looking and feeling more like me. I know I look odd in the second photo with my face but it's the only new photo I have and I am so proud

Great job!! You look amazing

It really is awesome how things like this change your life, it's hard once you lose that confidence and of course nothing is a "quick fix". I never really exercised before and over the past 4 years have gained weight (also bodily changes in my late 20's) and it seems that with every seasonal change, my clothes don't fit anymore I just recently started an intense cardio program called Turbo Fire and it is so amazing, it is a DVD set and you do an exercise every day with one day off per week and I feel muscles in my body I've never felt before!!

Keep up the great work

Congrats Daisy, that's so awesome! I'm in the same boat with not feeling like myself at the weight I am.
Before having Mason I was small and at a healthy weight for my height, after having Mason I've gained 40-ish pounds and feel like crap. I need to get on whatever weight loss train you've jumped on, ha.

May I ask how much lbs is a stone? Ha. I have never been able to figure out that one British term.

I'm sorry you've had some ups and downs with your weight, I can imagine it's very frustrating Thanks a lot though! I really hate how my face is in the second photo I don't usually look that unusual!

Thank you! I completely get what you're saying. I was so frustrated that any time I needed to get new clothes I had to go up a size and I was getting so fed up of not feeling like me any more. It's funny, because I used to be SO thin that even Jack can't get into my old jeans and he's flippin tiny. Not a bit of meat on the guy! But I went on a hormonal patch as I was having a lot of problems and I went from being super tiny to being all flumpy Now I've started this diet I'm yet again going through clothes like no tomorrow but only because they keep shrinking I'm also not rubbing the thighs out of the things either

There are 14 pounds in a stone. It may not seem like that much but when we say a stone over here we consider that pretty heavy! I wasn't able to attend my meeting this week so I'm really, really hoping that I've managed to lose something when I go this upcoming Monday. I've been having my sin food as recommended but I dunno. I need to get myself a good pair of scales to motivate me I think so then I don't have any nasty surprises at my meeting I was terrible on Monday and Tuesday evening. Jack's sister's baby shower was on Monday and although I ate great throughout the day, on the evening there was a buffet Then on Tuesday night I went out for food with a friend! I tried to stay healthy but still. Sigh, fingers crossed though

Hey, at least you gained an awesome kid too! That's gotta be worth 40 pounds I'm sure you'll be able to get it off if you go for it

And thank you!

Ahhh, well then that's great progress, and I'm sure you'll see more at your upcoming meeting Cheating here and there isn't bad as long as you aren't doing it every day, ha.
And yes, Mason is fantastic! I've been eating mostly healthy lately and eating a lot more veggies and fruit and have lost maybe 5 lbs just by that so I'm hoping to start feeling like my old self, ha.

You go girl! ^_^

On this diet you're allowed to have 15 'syns' a day. It helps SO much. I never feel deprived cause I know I can eat chocolate and everything still Congrats on the 5lbs!!!

That's awesome, hahaha. I would die if I couldn't have chocolate and other treats, lol.
And thanks! Hoping for a lot more, ha. Won't help when winter comes around though as we have like 3 feet of snow on the ground all winter. :\

I dread winter too, but I'm going to try and make lots of healthy soups and stuff. It's so hard when you wanna keep warm!

I know! Especially here because it stays around -20C all winter and gets down to about -40C sometimes... even -50C in some places.
I basically hole up in my house all winter, lol.
