A great article

There are definitely still people trying to do great things for these animals. (make sure you read all 5 pages!)

Thank you Jill for sharing. It just breaks my heart to see so many neglected, lonely, hurting birds. I wish I had the money and space to give every one of them a caring, loving home that they so deserve. I hope the article will encourage more and more people to help these poor babies and others who are thinking about a bird as a pet will do their research beforehand. I started a thread a little while back about how Amazon will contribute a small part of your purchase to charities you select. There are quite a few parrot rescues on that list. I support one of the local parrot rescues in my area. It may not be much, but its a start. I'm going to add my monthly support with whatever I can afford every month. I wish I could save them all.

And God said, "...let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." And God saw that it was good.

I managed to read the first page but it wouldn't let me click on the others I can see where it was going though. It's such a shame. In the UK I would say our main problem is CAGs. They're mass produced. When people say they've got a parrot it's usually a grey. Rescues are full of the poor things
