Camping Trip (pic heavy)

Well, I had a family reuinion on my dad's side to go to. it was ok, had a pig roast to feed the enormous family. my fiance and i kinda kept to ourselves for the most part, talking to the cousins i got along with best and hadnt seen in a very long time. it was nice to talk to some and hang out with them again. i also missed camping so much! well i didnt miss the mosquito bites or the bugs in the tent, but i enjoyed everything all the same, except one cousin... she crossed the line and i lost my temper with her.
she told me we could save money if we got rid of our pets. saying oh she did but she still has her gerbils and shes going to use them as live fish bait i told her we wont get rid of our pets as they are family to us and told her she is a cruel $#@%! for wanting to do that to her gerbils. and yet she wants to own lovebirds and she wouldnt believe us that they were aggressive and yet she has to get rid of her pets as shes having a baby! i told her lovebirds are the worst bird to get if you have a little baby around! if the baby sticks a finger in that cage, thats not good. well whatever, the whole situation with her pregnancy is NOT a good one, her boyfriend lets just say is a #[email protected]&! fill in the blanks with any insult you want, they all fit him.
anyways, family drama aside, one of my cousins is a boxer, just 18 and he's best in the province and is 3rd in Nationals! I got to go watch an exhibition match of his and he is very impressive!!
I also got a new camera, a new model to my old one. i am SOO happy with it. the close ups with it are awesome! i had to take lots of close ups of bugs and spiders lol
also, there was a hawk nest in the tree above us, with fledglings flying around. one dropped its prey out of the tree and landed on the ground to retrieve it. so she stayed out and i got a decent shot of her!
also, though i didnt get a photo, before we left we saw Vulture, the common grackle we raised!
and i finally got my Feliway from my aunt... now hopefully it will help calm my cats fighting a bit!
certain photos are in links because theres a few arachniphobic members on here lol

partially albino common grackle (look at one white tail feather)

and a lot of you wonder what camera i had been using... this is it. old, cracked LCD screen, and the shutter was always stalling...

and THIS is my new one! its my favourite colour too! late bday present from my dad as i told him i needed a new one!

and the CUTEST spider ever... if you can call them that. this guy was literally posing for my camera, following it! he was a little curious about the camera, again its a link

awesome photos, and that little camera is really good for macro shots

your cousin seems like a real pain people just don't listen, and then they end up just throwing pets away

and those dogs!! Malamutes are my favourite dogs, they're SO gorgeous, and when crossed with Huskies they look so beautiful

yeah shes uninvited to our wedding. she wants to personally attack us over our pets, shes not welcome with us.
and my dads dogs are really friendly, just siberians can be stubborn. kayla is the one half malamute, kai is pure siberian lol
got positive ID on the one spider, she was a widow.

Great shots!! So glad you saw Vulture again!

That almost looks like a black widow, but I don't see the signature red on the back... I thought they had to have it? Not 100% sure tho, we don't get many down here at all

i sent the photo in to a professional. theres more species of widow and such as well and not all have red on the backs. they ALWAYS have red on the belly though, but we couldnt see it underneith as we seen her from below and she had her back to us.

I hate spider surprises, but if I know they are there, I like to look at them. I enjoyed your photographs, knowing that was what was coming. Then one window didn't close behind what I was viewing, and several hours later, when I shut down my computer, as I closed stuff out, there the thing popped up - and I didn't like the surprise any more then than in real life!

The one with all the eyes is interesting, and I'd never seen one like the white one.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

the all white one in my hand was a moth he had a cute face. i wont hold spiders lol ill cry and have a fit and likely scream like a little girl if one lands on me.

i actually have a pet spider... her name is Ninja as shes escaped a few times and shes a fast little bugger. she also bit me and thats when i first found her. shes pretty cool. shes a yellow sac spider, i will post photos of her in a bit (links of course as some people are pretty scared of them, i dont like them on me but i love watching them. theyre very interesting and their care is very low maintenance. lower than a fish even)

I was referring to this guy.

http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...spidercute.jpg

I guess he isn't really white, but I DO know the difference between a spider and a moth.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

ahh hes the same spider as the cute jumping spider. hes grey, it was just the lighting that made him seem lighter. he had a grey mottled pattern to him

lol thats why i was wondering... the moth was the only thing that was white lol so i was confused

Hey, my post was confusing because I thought there were actually two different spiders with those crazy eyes, too.

The moth is really cute. I love moths.

Don't let Daisy know this.

I really love all of your photographs. They are great.

lol everyone is afraid of something. technically im afraid of spiders, but for some reason my way of coping with my unrational fears is learning more about them. only fear i wont do that with is my fear of river rapids. thats because i have every reason to be afraid and i wont be wanting to face that one ever again.

ive been testing this camera out... its not the best on the flight shots, i need to find the right setting... so far my old one was best on the flight shots. this one, the lighting is way better and the macro photos are a lot better! so its a great camera, i just need to find the right settings still

yeah we kept it as it still works, just the shutter was stalling and the screen was cracked. my fiance uses it.

the new camera has different settings and settings are needed for different types of photos... so i gotta mess with it still. im learning. my flight shots with the new camera arent bad, just a bit more grainy than im used to i think. going to add them to the sticky
