New hair... again!

So you guys saw my hair before right? The two tone black and red? Well I did the red without bleach and so I decided that I didn't like it too much. The red stayed but went kinda a dull colour and eventually went orange after like a month. The black faded within a week. It cost my 65 to get my hair done like that as well, well, it was a waste of my money.

I've been dying many of my mates hairs for quite some time now and I just thought to my self that I must go ahead and try it out on my self. I had dyed my hair before but I'd never had to use bleach.

This was it about two days after my hair dresser did it

it looked okay but its a shame it faded so quick.

This is it with the bleach on (I had half black half white hair... this was my original idea so I WILL be doing it for real at some point. I'm going to do the bleach job again and then use white toner ) and I'm sorry it's an awful picture

and this is it after I worked on it my self

it looks SO much better! And even better is the price. As I said before, 65 at the hair dresser? Well, mine cost 10!! My bleach was free of Jacks mom, my Black is actually Midnight Blue by Schwarzkopf (I think it's spelt that way) which cost 4 and my red is Poppy Red by Directions.

I also did exactly the same dye on my friend, we went to prom together and decided to be the coolest prom couple there we should have the same hair only on the opposite side. I did mine with the red on the left and the black on the right. His red is on the right and his black is on the left. Whenever we stand next to each other the colour matches to the side I used exactly the same dye on him too, his cost 14 though because he bought the Ice Blond dye by Schwarzkopf as his 'beach'. His hair just went very bright orange rather than blond or white, still did the trick though haha! Here's a picture of his... I'm proud of it

Also, mine hasn't dried out too much either. My hair is naturally bushy so I barely feel the difference. I have started to use conditioner, shampoo that keeps dye in and I've been using hair protection against heat all the time and it feels pretty good to be honest

Love it...again!!
You have great hair. I was going to get some tips on my bleached hair but since I got a job, I decided not to.

Ah yes, employment, the thing that will hate my hair and tattoos. Luckily, most places with animals don't usually mind

thank you though

Once I've done it half black half white I'm doing it lavender blonde with turquoise dip-dyed ends hehe! I missed having colourful hair but I ruined it by burning it and school flipped out at the for having all pink hair so I had to grow it out but now I'm back! Haha :3

Looks great! Like you, I let the hair dresser do my hair once... after that, my mom and I did my hair together, as well as my sister's. She used to do purple roots, turquoise body, green tips and a layer of dark blue underneath lol! My mom got really good at it. I did my red myself in Orlando - just bleach it then put the red over it I did my whole head tho, can't imagine only doing part of it! That takes some skill!

Red is by far the longest lasting of all the bright colours in my opinion. I've had blues and greens and everything inbetween and still it has come out and lasted the best.

Wow Jenny, her hair is like gorgeous I don't understand how people can do their hair better than a hairdresser. It makes me laugh! Yeah colouring only part of your hair one colour is a pain but on the other hand, I do cut my own hair, including the back and I do it quite well

Actually, red fades real quickly and is the hardest to keep in hair.

Natural shades of red are a %$^ to keep bright. However, when I did my hair "fake" red AKA fire engine red, it stuck and held really well The key was bleaching it first and then I would use a hair dryer on the red dye to get it to really stick.

The natural reds are a pain, as much as I love them. I have to re-dye every 3 weeks or so to keep it bright

You think Abby? everybody tells me that too but I find that red is by far my easiest colour yet. The blues, greens, pinks, purples etc have all faded within like a week. I did my hair the new red last thursday, so a week today and it hasn't changed one bit yet and I wash my hair every 2 days
