Baby vs Bird

We just spent several days with my family (Thursday - Sunday) including my 4 month old niece. Last night my 14 year old son decided that our birds, especially the quaker, are better than having a baby. He spent about 20 minutes listing the reasons birds are better. Very funny and entertaining.

I can't see myself having children. Dogs are a large enough responsibility to me! You feel bad for leaving them on their own (not that you'd leave a baby but y'know what I mean), you can't go anywhere over night unless you have somebody to look after them, they need daily walks, feeding etc. And they need a lot of attention. I don't think I would sacrifice owning dogs over having a kid He's going in the right direction
