Flying away...I miss my birds.

My couison is having a big birthday party in New York and we have to go. It's only for 1 day and a half but I can't stand being away from my birds for so long. We are already at the airport and it's been an hour and a half and I want to see them already. I said goodbye to all of them. I left millet. I don't trust anyone to feed my birds besides for me but I have to trust a lady. I just really miss my babas. I feels empty without them. Anyone ever had a simalar experience?

I completely understand. I had to go out today for a few hours running some errands and I couldn't wait to get back home to see all their cute little faces!! Same thing when I have to go to a party or somewhere where there aren't people who speak "bird talk". I only want to talk about my birds, otherwise I don't have much to say and can't wait to go home to my peeps. I suppose that qualifies me for the title of " crazy bird lady"! (who cares!)

And God said, "...let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." And God saw that it was good.

Oh I know the feeling! When I went to Tenerife a really good friend of mine would bird sit and dog sit and everything else sit (hahaha) at my house for me and I spent AGES looking for somewhere with wifi because I spent the first night crying because I wasn't used to leaving them. My friend has birds herself that she's bought off me and I know she's a good bird mom so that wasn't the problem, it was just because I wasn't used to it. I managed to find this really dingy little pizza shop down an ally where nobody spoke very good English and ordered a huge pizza and a few drinks so I'd have long enough there to skype her I'm sure they will all be okay! Maybe you could invest in some hanging feeders like I do? That way you can fill them up and guarantee them for a few days. Then the lady only has to stick her head in and see how they are They wouldn't get any fresh food for the day but it's better than having somebody else do it if it makes you nervous!

Oh you're not alone, for sure! When I go away, I am always paranoid that the pet sitter I hired is going to do a terrible job, especially since I've had a few bad experiences with pet sitters in the past. Thankfully all of my guys are still here
It's funny because I'll go home for a few weeks to visit and I'll be more anxious and excited to get home to see my animals than to see any of my friends here, ha.

Thank you guys!! It's very comforting knowing that I'm not the only one that feels that way. I'm going back home very soon. It feels like forever without my buddies.

I bet you're very excited I'm the same as Kayla. I usually burst through the door, straight past my friend and hug my dogs
