Shep my border collie, he's 16 (like me!) and I've had him the majority of my life. He's so wonderful. I thought I'd share some pictures from earlier. He's gone so grey, he's also very blind but he's still going strong he's very energetic and fun

Awww! He's gorgeous! Looks similar to some Aussies. I wish him an even longer and happier life with you!

Thanks Abby, he does look similar. He's also a bit deaf, he's such a nightmare when it comes to walking him and he can't hear you. It's like he just walks off totally not knowing where you are.

and sorry guys, I used that image hosting site so it went really naff and made my pictures huge. I'll use tinypic from now on

I have a 16 year old dachshund, and he is going blind, too. I don't know if he is deaf or not. He never paid much attention, anyway. Sometimes I think he is senile, because he has times when he will just bark for no reason, and he will hide under a bush instead of coming in the house to eat. I can't even crawl in there and get him out, but then he will snap out of it and be fine. My ex-husband had a border collie who lived to be nearly 20. I hope yours makes it that long, too.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

Awh bless him haha! Poor thing I think Shep is senile too. Yeah I know Border's are known to be long lived so I'm really hoping he does too, I'm gunna be totally lost without him. I hate the fact I'll be without him in the next few years. Unless somebody can make him last forever. He does struggle every now and then but once he's on his feet he still bounces around and stuff. He pretends he isn't cute too
