The Duggar's 19 Kids and Counting Scandal

Has anyone been following this story of the Duggar's on TLC?

Recently it was revealed that the oldest son of the Duggar's family Josh of 19 kids and Counting was investigated for inappropriately touching his sisters and other children while he was a young teen in 2006.

TLC quickly pulled all episodes of the show off their line up this week, it seems TLC has to worry about their fan base for this family as well as the many sponsors who might pull out due to the situation. What to do? WHAT TO DO?

The police reports in the link below show some serious messed up things happened back in 2006.

http://www.intouchweekly.com/posts/b...n-a-year-58906

I think TLC would be best to cut their ties with the entire Duggar family and the show because this is just the beginning of a bigger disaster.

What do you think?

Honestly, I like my shows firmly in the sci fi and fantasy realm. I stay away from reality shows. On the other hand, if he was only investigated and not convicted of anything, wouldn't he be considered innocent of any crime. To play devil's advocate, anyone can accuse someone of a crime and anything related to children has to be investigated no matter the evidence. The media tends to sensationalize everything and I tend to think of them as very one sided and more often than not make up parts of the story.

If you read the police reports and info in the link I posted in the first post you will see what happened with the investigation and report.

Apparently his father took him to the police station and there was a report taken. The church they attend also knew of the problem and put him in a strict work and study and counseling program as far back as 2003. The church should have told the police way back when but didn't. Some of the offenses were felonies and serious.

Whats even more strange is that the officer that took the report when the father brought Josh into the police station didn't investigate the report. And this particular police officer ended up being convicted and is now in prison for child porn offenses since that time.

Twisted stuff.

I'm with you Anna, gimme some Bitten/Defiance/Haven/Grimm/Z Nation and Falling Sky's. I can get into those shows more.

Yes, I like my actors professional.

Bitten is horrible, but it's based on my favorite books so I suffer through it.

More of a Supernatural/Dexter/Daredevil girl myself.

Just chrome cast to the TV and watch on my schedule. The reality has too much drama for me.

If I want drama, Game of Thrones.

I need to find Game of Thrones from the first season and get watching it. I don't want to jump into the latest season without knowing what's been happening from the beginning. I've heard its an excellent series to watch.

I read the books first, they are excellent and the show changes enough, especially in the later season to keep you guessing. But not enough to ruin the books. I don't have HBO, but I see the old season through Netflix.

Yes all the books, including the one s with no werewolves. The show does a horrible job of translating the dynamics onto screen and the fight scenes are boring...and the fake wolves are atrocious. But I get to see Stonehaven . I've only seen the first season on Netflix, I'm hoping the second season is better/more bearable. I think they have Paige, who I like despite being a boring witch.

Aleister Paige Ruth and the youngest witch Savanna are all in the second season, it gets really twisted/stupid with the witch angle but I stuck it out to see if it would be better then season one.

I'm still on the fence about it.

I Actually don't mind it but that is probably because I rarely watch anything... being a nursing student I get so time constraint I just don't get to watch much. Also it is within my genre of fiction, I love the whole vampire/warewolf, witch anything. I mean hell my first love of TV shows was Buffy the Vampire slayer

I am pretty sure I have all of Kelley Armstrong Books. I even have the special edition ones I purchased for way too much money that are numbered and Autographed where only so many copies were made etc.

Which ever ones I couldn't get in hard cover like Angelic I purchased on my Ipad for me in the Ibook store so I could still read them. I used to prefer reading the actual books but I hate cracked spines on my books so I mostly just read them on my I pad.

But again sadly during school I don't get much time but lately I have had more time being out of school for the spring and summer. yay!!! I might read more to get back into them maybe even finish maybe half of my collection

Thanks ~Drini~ (Other Forum)

Cool you have original books with autographs its always nice to have collectors items and it seems books are soon going to be really coveted with the use of the web now.

Its a steady job for them... there are so many shows being shot here in Toronto. Hollywood North is a busy place.

I've never seen Hannibal but I see a new season is starting next week so I will set the DVR and see if I will like it. The trailer for the show looks good.

Ugh watch it from the beginning hahaha! Honestly, it takes a LOT for me to rave on about a show and I haven't even finished season one yet but it's been the BEST show next to Breaking Bad I've ever seen. I never bothered with it in the beginning as I've not really ever been into TV until recently but everybody was begging me to try it. Worth it!
