My new flying ground!

I know this is kinda random but hey.

I've had no ground to fly my raptors on for some time as the fields I usually take them to had had the crops planted in them. It was like the perfect field too, enclosed by trees with a big tree in the middle and grass everywhere. Also it was pretty far from a road. It kinda made me a bit down as flying my birds of prey is like my adrenaline rush

Well anyways, my granddad walks our dog with a nice lady every day who owns a cottage over the road from the old flying field. Today he was chatting to her for some time. Some guy had been renting the field out behind her house for his horse. He was only allowed to keep one horse and its stable etc on there but instead he abused this and ended up having numerous horses, aviaries, stables and even dumping his rubbish off there! Like old carpets and such! She kicked him off the place anyways and now she has this HUGE 7 acre field behind her home, completely enclosed by trees etc so nobody can see in and it's pretty far off a road and she's allowing me to have it to fly my hawks on 'cause she doesn't want anybody else using it for horses! So now I have this massive big of land to fly Chalkie and my new hawk when I get it. The land is perfect, it's sloping for up hill exercise and also I can go downhill so the bird can gain height! I'm really excited to try it out. Hopefully in a few weeks or a month or so I will be using it to train my new baby

I'll take tons of pictures for you guys when I get the birds flying.

Oh and also!! The field is about a 10 minute walk over the road from my home! (I live in a fairly rural area) So I don't even have to put the birds in a travel box or anything this means I'm going to get some odd/shocked looks as I go down some roads carrying a hawk

He's kinda big I guess but to me he's tiny haha! I fly birds from the size (if smaller) than my hand, this includes little owls, white faced scops owl and American kestrels, to eagles and vultures! So I think Chalkie would probably come under small to medium in my eyes. He's not tiny. But he's not huge either. He's a whole ton bigger than Scully though hehe!
