Kate, being in the UK you COULD actually get one if you got into it thank you

and Thank you too Michelle I didn't come up with the name though. He was already called it and responded to it so I couldn't change it. He's named after Jemima Parry-Jones' tawny eagle

Chalkie? NO! I'll try and get some pictures of him having scritches he is the NICEST raptor I have ever met. You can touch him anywhere and he's never bitten or intentionally grabbed me. He's grabbed me whilst hooded but I can't blame him for that. I've never been hurt by him properly. He's really gentle too. I've met FAR more aggressive parrots than him

Rodent? Nah more like earwig and wood louse he's an appauling hunter. He goes for the kill with extreme skill and then gets scared at the end and freaks out though he WILL attack dogs, especially if they're small!

He had his beak and talons done today and he was a very good boy, we didn't have to wrap him up or even hood him! He's such a sweetheart. I MUST get a video very soon of me giving him scritches, you wont be able to tell me it isn't cute

Aww! I've never met a good and "sweet" raptor You know I\m really getting interested by falcons and hawks...... is he a viscous killer? Like rips bunnies apart?

Chalkie couldn't catch a rabbit if it was dead he's APPAULING as a hunter, but a fantastic flier. The other raptors I handle are killing machines. Solo, a saker falcon, will be half way through a display and bring back a dead heron! silly thing. He takes a lot of crows too. You have to be really careful where and what you fly though. For instance I'm not gunna fly any large buzzards (buteos... I know people in the US call vultures buzzards, though buzzards are buzzards, hawks are accipters, for instance, the red tailed hawk is actually a red tailed buzzard!) or eagles in a park, unless I enjoyed killing dogs WHICH I DON'T! OR HAVE EVER DONE! Falconry is SUPER hard and can be really REALLY tough, only approach it if you think you can cope with it. It can be SO rewarding and so disappointing

Raptors can stand the cold really well, especially in the UK. Which is cold...
