Amazon photoshoot

Tomorrow I'm going to meet a yellow-crowned Amazon called Eddie!

I used to go to this night club type thing for some time and had the place as a group on facebook. One day, I uploaded a load of pictures of Dexter and they started commenting about him and stuff and I found out the person had a bird themselves. This made me super happy as it was, it's always nice to meet another birdy person! But I asked if it was okay for at some point me to come and do a photoshoot. I've never taken any good pics of an Amazon. She said it was fine and we just chatted about him. She then told me he has some behaviour problems, so I'm going over to recommend how I would fix them and she also wants me to look at a better diet for him This makes me sooo happy! I really can't wait. She lives about ten minutes from my house and she's picking me up at 1:45 from outside the night club.

I'm armed and ready. I'm taking pellet berries, cranberries, a sample of my food, 3 packets of bird cookies (my poor little conures are far too small to eat them!) and some grapes. Hopefully he will come around really soon.

Obviously I'm gunna take a whole TON of pictures to post on here! How couldn't I!?

AWESOME! That will be a cool experience! Maybe you could do that for a job. Going around giving advice, tips, and train! It would be perfect for you.

Oh I don't think I'll ever meet anybody in person as nerdy as me haha! I'm an all round animal nerd, let alone bird nerd! I mean I cannot for the life of me stand bugs but since I got on my course I've held a millipede (cannot spell on my phone) and it wasn't too bad. The rose tarantula is next on my list but I don't think I could touch our cockroaches. The stick insects don't bother me at all really. And the African land snail is pretty cool. But bleh. They all creep me out a lot haha! I'm really into reptiles, birds and other exotics mostly but I know a fair bit about other things. I didn't know much about chinchillas until recently but I now work with 6 haha!

I think its their heads, or their eyes. I dunno! But either way I don't like them. I can tolerate them around me and stuff but once it touches my skin its like everything is silent for about 5 seconds then I just squeal as loud as possible and throw my self around the room! My boyfriend has a phobia of moths (pahahahhahaahahahahahaha! Sorry, if anybody has one, but man, its funny to watch him!) And he will do ANYTHING to get away from one. We were in a take out pizza shop sitting down and a moth the size of a bird flew across the ceiling and he just burst into tears. I did too, in laughter haha! I think my favourite was this one in his bedroom which made him run a mile. I could hear a weird flapping sound and I was like what is that? So we turned on the lights (there was a really rubbish lamp on while he was eating cereal... At night... I know he's weird) and it was right there in front of him. He threw the bowl up into the air and the cereal and milk went EVERYWHERE. I laughed for like half an hour but he stayed on the landing crying and yelling at the moth XD

The worst for me was a few weeks ago. Me and my best friend were having a girly night in and we were sat watching a movie on her laptop in the dark. Little did I know a spider was slowly creeping onto my face. As soon as I caught a glimmer of this big hairy thing on my forehead I jumped up (at like 3am) screaming as loud as possible and started to punch my self in the face to get it off. I then realised that it was just sitting on the bed and I'd been punching my self for no reason... Hahahahah!

We were driving along in my friends car and this spider dropped down infront of her and she slowed down and bailed!
So I'm sat in a moving car with no driver and a spider!
I splatted spider and pulled it over.

Well my story isn't about a bug , but a bat...lol One night hubby and I were sitting in the dark watching a movie... in this movie was an underground cave full of sleeping bats... the people disturbed the bats and they all started flying around and sqweeking , next thing we knew there was this giant moth like thing flying around our living room... we turned on the lights and it was a BAT!!! It must of been in our attic and when it heard the bats on tv it found a way into our living room... I sure didn't stick around... It was panicked and flying into things and I just grabbed my baby wrapped him in a blanket and ran out of the house into the yard till my hubby chased it out the door... that was creepy!!...lol

The craziest bug story I have was when I came down to my room, I saw a hairy spider on my bed! I flipped out and found a rubber band and shot it! It took like 5 shots to immobilize it and at least 5 more to kill it. I didn't sleep in there for a week after!
