Exclamation Your Daily Weather, share your weather with us!

Since a few of us live in different parts of the world we have some interesting differences in weather lately.

I thought it would be fun to share our weather with each other.

Include a picture if you like.

You don't have to tell us where you live but it would be nice to know if you are in Canada USA or the UK or OZ etc.

Today I woke up to a blizzard of snow in the early hours of the morning, its typical for us in Eastern Canada to have snow this time of the year but this is our first snowfall so it was nice to see fresh white snow.

It was coming down quite heavy and blustery so I put the birds cage close to the window and let the bugs watch the snow flurry past the window. They sat watching it for quite a while a little hypnotized.

A few hours later the snow stopped and the sun is out bright and brilliant and slowly melting the snow away, its -4C and feels like -12C.... but I don't feel its that cold.

I wonder if we will have a white Christmas this year?

What about you? What is your weather like where you are for the coming Christmas Season?

Down here at the other end of the world it is summer in Oz. After a much needed few days of rain and cool weather, it actually snowed in Tasmania just over a week ago, the heat is finally headed our way. Yesterday was just over 31C and higher temperatures are predicted for the end of the week with some areas getting over 40C. I am in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales so we do get 40C days but we have very low humidity so it doesn't feel that hot. Where I used to live we used to get very cold winters and very hot summers with very high humidity. You just could not breathe in that high humidity. One of the main reasons I moved down here last year was to get into a much nicer climate especially in summer. Have a lovely slow combustion fire to keep me warm in the winter and to cope with any really hot days I have ducted evaporative air cooling plus ceiling fans in the bedrooms. I live in a home that is nearly 100 years old so the ceilings are 12ft high, that also helps keep the house cooler as does the thick walls made of concrete blocks and the verandah keeps the house cool also.

I wish I had your weather today Kate.

It's sunny and bright here but bitterly cold with a kicker of a wind. Brrrrr.....

Woke to a lovey day here today. Just looked at the weather forecast for here at the moment it is 18C at 7.30am. Updated high is 32C, mostly cloudy from 9am with a light breeze and 63% humidity. We could get some more rain overnight. Will be good for the plants so I don't mind that. Where I used to live is going to be over 40C today. I certainly don't miss that at all.

I hope you get the rain for your garden and it cools off the area where you are a little more too. Enjoy your sunshine and warmth while I freeze my noogies off!

It's a bright sunny day here but cold.
There is lots of snow to shovel off sidewalks and driveways from a dumping we got last night.

And we have more snow coming tomorrow.... oh YAY!

Well we had a storm come through yesterday afternoon, well before we were supposed to get it. It took out high tension power lines (66,000 volts) and we were without power from just after 4.30pm until about 9pm. Nearly 6,000 homes affected by the outage. Wasn't good as it was still quite hot, no fans or air con working. Rain again early this morning and thankfully it has cooled off. Today hopefully will be quite pleasant even if it is raining or overcast. Plants are really enjoying the moisture, as are my birds.

I don't know what's worse Kate? Being in summer heat and having no air conditioning or fans to blow cool air during the hot day/night? I would probably just light a couple of candles draw a cool bath and lay in the tub all day and read a book by little book lights I have that run on batterys. I don't know how the birds would handle the heat and the quiet.

But it would be horrible to try and sleep at night with humidity and heat. YUCK.

One time in Nova Scotia I had no power for 4 or 5 days, I had SPX then and he and I lay in bed together.

I put him in a smaller cage and put his cage half in and half out of the bed covers and duvet so he could have my body warmth to keep him warm while the house grew icy cold.

He hated that it was so quiet and we had no radio or music to drown out the howling wind. We got through it but I wouldn't want to do that again, bird seed and water under the covers is not fun.

I'm glad your power is back on and all is okay out your way.

Similar to the weather I get down here in winter, most often colder than that. Was like that where I used to live too, maybe even colder, especially first thing in the morning.

Got another storm here last night but this morning is clear, bright and sunny. Pretty much not a cloud in the sky.

Men are here putting up the solar panels on my garage. Will then have to upgrade the size of the wiring that is coming into the house.

I'm over the snow now Kate, we are experiencing snow again now and its suppose to flurry off and on all weekend. BOOO... no more snow!

I'm glad you are having rain at night for your gardens and yards and experiencing nice clear sky's and good weather during the day time. That's perfect for your beginnings of summer.

The solar panel hook up sounds amazing. You will be able to save money on power soon!

Another nice sunny day here today with a slightly cool breeze blowing. Thought we may get rain again last night as there was plenty of lightening but we didn't see any rain to speak of. 20C at 8.30am with a high of 32C today. Possibly light rain in the early afternoon.

Enjoy your lovely day even with some rain Kate!

I'll take it, send your weather here. It's raining and coldish but really not cold at all. Ice pellets are due soon so I won't be going for a walk.

Well we didn't get the expected rain yesterday. Going to be hot today with a high of 37C even though it is going to be only partly sunny. Rain predicted again for this evening so we will see if it arrives today.

I went for a wander in the wee hours of the morning and found it nice out there a little damp but no rain and some odd bright bursts of sunshine from time to time. I wish the wind wasn't blowing as hard as it was because it made it a little colder, without that wind it would have made the morning perfect to enjoy!
