Hello fellow parrot fantics

Oh aaaaaaaand I just might be breeding a pair of budgies and then maybe I could bring home the chicks and handfeed one or two hehehe I'm so happy there are places i can express my parrot crazziness like talkparrots

I'm so sorry they were sold Shivani, I know how that feels and it stinks.

You'll love handfeeding, it's so much fun. I learned a long time ago when I was about 12 or 13 years old. I bought a cockateil from a lady that owned a pet shop we visited all the time, this was before I started shopping at bracken. Anyway I think Blossom was about 5 weeks old at the time. The only training I really got was her just showing me once how she did it, and I handfed him from there. Back then I used a spoon to feed. I love to handfeed even more now than I did back then. And you'll get to feed a grey, I want a grey so bad I can't stand it. I'm so happy for you.

I can't hand feed yet! I know how, but never had a go! I have hand raised raptors though.

Good luck!

Is that why Chalkie is so gentle? I'm breeding their budgies since they already have nest boxes up in 2 pairs ahahah and I was told by a mama birdy that look for something living under the tree!! I wonder what......

Chalkie was parent raised. Hand raised raptors are dangerous and often hurt people! I don't often do it with hawks etc but owls I do. Owls are best hand raised though sadly a lot of raptors are hand raised. They constantly scream and attack you!

Hand feeding is a great thing to get experience with. I'm glad I got to handfeed Alex and I'm happy it went as smooth as it did!

Well at least you won't have to wait too long. Do you think it could be a bird?

Just my opinion Daisy, but I think handfeeding is very easy. Even one day old chicks.

I just thought of something - plants are living....
But then again, I've wanted a bonsai tree since forever
Kennedy, if it's a bird then I'll personally send a limo right over to pick you up and come meet him/her
