Here, in the Thousand Islands region, in Ontario, it's partly sunny today -- but the forecast is for rain for the rest of the week. *sighs*

Rain rain rain and more rain except today is bright and sunny which is just what we need to shake the cobwebs away after having an extra hour sleep with DST.

It's actually warm here too ... 9C and people are walking around in sweaters and light jackets here, the trees are pretty much bare here from all the rain and wind from the last week. Each night I go to bed I can see more street and building house lights from my bed ... the cover of summer is on the ground and the world outside looks stark and bare.

I must be getting older ... I am watching the seasons change with more interest now. I am paying attention to weather ... gee's I'm an old fart now. LOL

Enjoy your sunny day Dee .... they will soon be soggy!

It's not raining right now ... it was earlier but someone or some higher being has blessed us with some vibrant sunshine and bright blue skies! WOOOOO HOOOOO!

I like this ... but the wind is a kicker at about 44 miles per and so going to the corner store was an adventure while being attacked with soggy and slightly wet leaves attaching themselves to clothing and shoes. Slippy sliddy wet leaves in many nice colors.

Someone needs to suck these things up in a massive leaf vacuum and rid us of this mess. LOL

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I know! RIGHT?
Looked out my window this morning to see bare branches covered with snow. J. has swept the steps and the car of this snow. I'm just glad that I don't have to deal with dressing little ones in snowsuits, leggings, boots, woolen hats and mittens. >sigh!<

But J. says that this snow won't stay long -- will be warming up, with the snow turning to rain but until then . . .

We got the SNOW last night ... it fell fast and heavy and covered everything within the hour. I was entranced by the quiet and softness the 1st snowfall brought with it.

There were hardly any people out and about so a friend and I took off for a short walk in the snow having the flurries hit us, of course I had to make some snowballs and pelt my friend who got into the spirit and tossed a couple of icy slush balls at my noggin.

OUCH.

We are due more snow and rain later today and into tomorrow .... I hope all are ready for the white mess with good snow tires.

Stay warm and dry people ... enjoy the Lords cold dandruff.

It didn't happen .... no snow. Sort of. We had odd little rainy patches that might have had slushy snow mixed in with the rain stuff, it was a nice weekend with clouds and some clear patches so I couldn't complain. So I won't.

It's clear and bright this morning but the snow is supposedly due later tonight and into the wee hours. Boo ! It is currently -2C but feels like -5C. I can dig it!

Enjoy your Monday everyone!

COLDEST DAY on record for Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. I watched it on TV, today. And the announcers mentioned that the winds in New York made the balloon handlers cautious.

So yesterday I was all whiny whiny about the rain right? Me and my big mouth .... its snowing right now. It's been snowing since the wee hours of the morning and it looks like its going to snow into the later part of today. I am not ready for the snow ... I don't know where my winter boots are. I am not sure where my hat scarf and gloves are either. I am not sure if I am awake either .... all I know is I woke up to a world of white crap all over the lawn and street and its getting even more snowy with more white crap.

Ask me if I'm happy .... go on. I dare ya!

Oh yeah .... its suppose to snow tomorrow too. DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNNN.

It's been an odd day with snow and wet rain off and on all day. Now .... nuthin.

I can live with it as its not even cold just damp. On Sunday they are calling for the temps to be 12C or higher. Someone should call Donald Trump and tell him about Global Warming.

It's SPRING today .... SUNNY! So dang sunny. And the temperature is in the 10C range right now but suppose to get warmer still. I am in bliss. I've been out for an early walkabout and need to go again this afternoon to suck up the sunshine and nice warmer air. I want to be outside not in a shopping mall buying Xmas crap.

It's just a lovely day and I'm going to enjoy every moment of it.

ENJOY your day everyone! I hope its a nice warmish day for you too with some sunshine to make you smile.

Yes, Mr. Peepers, it WAS sunny in the morning, yesterday. BUT we got an announcement that the hydro-electricity would be turned off in the afternoon. So, J. prepared boy-scout style, with batteries for the transistor radio, and fresh batteries for the hurricane lamp (it's a modern one from Canadian Tire, that spreads enough light to light up the whole living room.)

I played on my Samsung tablet (got it fully charged beforehand)
while J. enjoyed the cheesy '80's and '90's music on the little radio. Sweetheart, however, wanted her cable TV music on, and kept glancing over to the silent TV, and back at J. and me, expecting something to happen that resembled her normal routine.

She was happy when the electricity came back on, and her music was back on the TV -- later that night she showed her gymnastic talents on the swing, looking phenomenal, and gave a courteous bow, after completing a beautiful landing. She enjoyed the cheers we gave her, and nodded in approval, as well. We certainly adore this little lady, and are glad that her individual personality is shining through!
