The Latest Weather Complaint! Please Join in!

I happily complained about the weather all winter and we are entering SUMMER here in Canada so I thought I'd start a summer thread and continue to complain.

Please feel free to join in and complain about the weather where you live... we like to know you are miserable where you live too!

HAPPY 1st Day of SUMMER!
Last year this time we were up to our whatchamacallits in water ... parts of Ontario Canada were being rained on in unbelievable amounts. I was invited to see a popular beach called Port Dalhousie and was amazed to find geese and ducks swimming on the sidewalks at the pier.

This year is not anything like last year with rain, in fact we aren't getting a whole heap of the wet stuff which will not be good for the farmers in the Niagara Fruit Belt! I will hope that the rain comes soon (not on the weekends) and gives the farmers what they need for successful crops.

Enjoy your 1st day of Summer my friends. Eat some ice cream and relax ....

Winter will be here soon and with it GAME OF THRONES !

Its raining ... OF COURSE IT IS ... BECAUSE ITS THE WEEKEND!

I don't mind the rain because we really need it, lawns gardens and farmers all want this and its been lacking the wet stuff lately.

So I will grin and bear it and carry on .... Have a nice weekend where ever you are!

It's POURING buckets here ... remember what I posted yesterday about the farmers liking the rain? Those same farmers might be worried their little plants are being smooshed into the soil and busted to pieces today. Hopefully the bright sunny weather tomorrow will make plant land all better again.

Since its dark and wet out there ....

its NAP TIME .....

Sunshine Lollipops but no Rainbows ... we might see some rainbows tomorrow as we are expected to be deluged with more rain. I will wait and see.

In the meantime I will go a tip toeing thru da tulips but will probably end up stepping in dog doo doo on the lawn instead.

I was invited to a pool party to cool down yesterday but it was cancelled due to some rowdy party crashers.

Damn party poopers.

I feel bad for this mama bear ... she needed to relax.

It's still HOT ... hot like it should be in summer but apparently we are reaching record breaking heat wave and high humidity levels.

Today its reported to be up in the 40C range.

If you need me I will be working from inside my refrigerator.

RAIN! Beautiful cool dirty smog laced rainnnnnnnnnnnn fell on us last night. There was grumblings of thunder and lots of flashes of lightning and RAIN.... my outdoor plants were so happy happy to get water from the sky last night that they are perky and happy standing tall this morning.

It's a balmy temperature of 20°C right now and the high is suppose to be up to 25°C today. I will enjoy it with windows open and the curtains slightly rolling with the breeze. Now that I don't have to sit inside the refrigerator to do some work I might go out and mow the lawn later!

Not a cloud in the blue sky and a slight breeze making the leaves flutter in the trees here, its one of those days where you should just do a whole bunch of nothing. Like lie in a hammock and read a nice book in the shade of the trees while sipping something cool and refreshing.

Unfortunately I will be in the back 40 .. mowin.

So the rain we were suppose to be "blessed" with all weekend didn't really happen. We had a few little sprinkling showers even though I was waiting for a monsoon type rain with thunder and lightning. Didn't happen.

It's hot and humid today, 27C but feels like 37C so its a day to stay in the cool air conditioning and do all those things you need to do around the house. Like lay on the sofa and read a book. Good plan!

It's been lovely over the past few days, temps in the 24C area with a beautiful breeze and sunshine out the waaaaaaaaaaazzzzooooo with cloudless blue skies. All the windows are open to air out the stale air conditioned air so I can hear all the wild birds calling and having a lovely time enjoying the day too.

It's suppose to rain on the weekend but of course it will... its the weekend!

Rain rain rain rain rain and humidity. YUCK !

We need the rain as its been very dry here lately .... I shouldn't complain about the heat and humidity that comes with rain as others elsewhere are having it worse.

My best friend just called from Edmonton Alberta and said they turned their heat on today in their home as its only 8C. Brrrrr .... winter in Alberta.

So yesterday afternoon about supper time it got freaky dark, clouds rolled in and things started blowing around with a very intense wind storm that was obviously bringing something bad in the form of rain from hell. It grew dark fast with purple black sky's and we quickly battened down the hatches putting things on the deck in a large wooden box, like patio chair and lounger cushions and plants needed to be herded into a corner and chairs placed over top for fear that they would be damaged from the intense wind.

The weather channel warned us of tornado's ... It was interesting watching this storm front come in and then BANG ... it hit. RAIN AND WIND AND A FURY OF paper leaves and odds and ends blowing everywhere for less then 5 minutes. The rain hit and it left just as quickly, 5 minutes of fat plops and some gushes and that was it.

No thunder, no lightening, no deluge with rain pouring on everything giving the gardens and lawn and all a good soak. NADA ... ZIP. It was a pitiful sad little disappointing storm.

LOL

I guess I should be grateful that what the weather channel was calling for didn't hit and do damage here... other places got way worse then what we had.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
