Where did I vanish to this time?

I can only apologise enough for my inconsistency with the forum. I know I came back several times to explain why I have not been around, but I do want to say that I am genuinely sorry

After my miscarriage earlier this year I did manage to get pregnant again shortly after. What I didn't know was how sickly it was going to make me! I have had several things wrong and go badly from near enough start to finish and it has been completely debilitating. I suffered with hyperemesis gravidarum (very severe vomiting) which lead to issues with dehydration, my oesophagus being damaged from constantly being sick and I had to pretty much quit my day job. I already packed in my night job as it was far too dangerous to work while being pregnant. As the pregnancy went on people kept saying it would go away - it did not! I then had a pulmonary embolism and felt horrid. I was in a real state and I was very frightened. After several scans and loads of treatment we got through that. After that I was diagnosed with obstetric choleostatis, which I still have. Because of this I had to have my labour induced. I won't go into too many details with that but I ended up with maternal sepsis, injuries and a difficult delivery

My daughter is here now after a prolonged hospital stay for us both and she is awesome. She's been the reason I've not given up on myself and she has definitely bought more meaning to my life while I have been struggling with my own demons. My partner is very supportive and I am surrounded by awesome animals. I have a lot more time on my hands now to enjoy being a mom and spend time pursuing my hobbies. I will be going back to work in the new year on weekend nights for short shifts (they're well paid haha!) but other than that I have no reason not to be around now

Sorry for the rambling

Well, I'm glad you are back, and have a lovely daughter to love. It sounded like you've been through a lot, and I wish good health to you, and your baby.

*hugs* Sweet Parakeet
