Meet Karl

Okay, I couldn't resist. Doesn't need much introduction really, but here's Karl my newest musk turtle hatchling. I now have three musks I'm such a pain. I'd bought a new tank (one of the ferplast turtle tanks) and so I had my old one. I'd gone in store to buy another turtle (they had a huge variety a couple of weeks ago but sadly a load of people bought them at Christmas for their kids and stuff... can't wait to find those on preloved) and there was a tank with four musks in it. The smallest one just plopped into the water and came right up for a look at me, so I had to take him he's the smallest yet. My other two have grown a ton though!

Pictures are off iPod

By the way, he's named Karl after Karl Pilkington. He looks like a real misery so I thought the name would fit

No not at all we only intended on one but thought it would be nice to have two, then I bought the new set up for the other two and went turtle shopping. They didn't have the ones I wanted any more so I was going to order a Florida snapper online and I went into the store out of curiosity and saw a tank with four musks in. I would of taken them all if I could! But this one just bounded over and pushed his little piggy nose up the glass hehe. If you wanna know anything about them feel free to pm me

I'd love a RES! I've wanted one for AGES I found one for sale recently but he'd gone. Me and Jack really wanna breed turtles at some point but it looks like a lot of hard work!

Hehe, everybody does! I wanna see the tiels soon! They must be huge

I really love turtles too, I never even realised how much I liked reptiles until recently. I stood back and thought hmmm, 3 snakes, 2 bearded dragons, 4 turtles... yup! I like um I wish Alabama was only that small. She's a whopping 12 inches all around She's a yellow bellied slider and she's 4/5 years old!

I know it's not a reptile but later this year we've decided on a frog hehe!

Yeah she's a really big girl! She's in a tank just over 4 ft long and it looks puny compared to her. We wanna get her a nice big pond when we move out

Daisy, I see soooo many of those! I'd send you one if I could! They're so cool looking, they look like little dinosaurs; I love their long tails! How are they as pets though? Are they less cranky, or are they pretty much a look but don't touch pet?

The other day I was going down the road and saw a turtle, so I thought I'd get out, pick him up, and plop him in the canal he was trying to get to like I usually do... then I get close and it's a juvie alligator snapper! His shell was about 8" from front to back? Of course, I had sandals on - every time I tried to pick him up by hand he just kept spinning in circles trying to bite me! So I ungraciously kicked him, a few feet at a time, across the road and into the canal

Haha Jenny! I don't blame you. I want an alligator snapper so bad! They are real mean though.

Can you ship turtles over from the US? I'd love that if I could get one hehe :3

Snappers aren't good pets, most turtles aren't. But they are lovely when they stay in the tank haha!
