Mmmm ... Yum Yum chips are da best! I have a thing for their sweet cheddar chips. But like you & J ... I don't like their onion rings or their puffs they are strange tasting ... too overpowering.
The little corner store I use to get these Sweet Cheddar chips at has sold to a new owner and he's bringing in horrible chips now. They are Uncle Rays. Most corner stores in the Downtown core of Toronto sell Uncle Rays for the same cheap price ... about $1.25 or $1.50 at most. They are fairly fair about price gouging and don't do this.
HOWEVER ... the store I only got Yum Yum's at is charging $3.00 & up for Uncle Rays and this sucks because you can see the actual $1.20 something price on the bag. This is just unfair.
