Talking DIY Christmas Cards ... Anyone Doing Any?

I have craft paper, and pens, and scissors and glue and a million baubles of shiny things laying around. You know craft supply's. Left overs from someone else in my life who crafted all the time ... anyways I decided I might give Christmas cards a try this year. Just a few special ones for a couple of close friends.

I'm just a little stuck on the message I should place in and on the cards as my friends are really not into Christmas ... like me. We are all bah hum buggers ... we all wish 2020 would hurry up and get the heck over with and we all want to see great news and health and happiness and some wealth would be nice too for 2021.

But then there is that looming Covid-19 thing ....

Anyway ... I might draw some trees and decorate them with covid-19 virus blobs. Or boxes of tissues, masks, plastic/surgical gloves as well as mini rolls of toilet tissue and if I can make them ... teeny tiny bottles of hand sanitizer.

What do you think my Holiday message should be?

Oh ... by the way. Are any of you making any special Christmas or Holiday cards for someone you care about this year?

Hey, Mr. Peepers -- I've been one of those original card crafters for most of my life. But after my stroke in 2014, and the onslaught of arthritis of the wrists and fingers, my craftiness has been less than productive of late, but let me say that I would concentrate my images and messages on the encouragement of Xmas light (aka the Festival of Lights) but I do remember the odd humorous card featuring an elf or two.

As for a Christmas tree decorated with Covid-19 supplies -- perhaps the message could be "The Gift of the Magi might have shifted this year, but a Healthy Holiday is PURE GOLD!"

All the best with your custom card attempts, and Best Wishes for the upcoming Yule Season!

This toilet paper snow man behind the Santa on the card is EPIC. Gonna steal that idea!
