J. just gave one of our blue jay backyard visitors a peanut, as I type this. And two more of the blue jay family just joined the first one, for some peanut treats.
J. softly whistles to them, which brings them right up to the back deck railing.

I am envious of your birb friends visiting for peanuts and chit chats with you and J at your deck. I get squirrels ... hundreds if not thousands of miserable fighting snarly squirrels who bring nuts and bury them in all the potted plants on the upper and lower deck flower pots.


In the spring time they dig everything up ..... if they can remember where they dumped half of their crap. I have some odd trees starting to grow in my plant pots in the spring. Squirrels is nuts!
