The UK quaker parrot cull

IS NOT HAPPENING

So many people protested that it had to be cancelled!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environmen...angers-species

But now! It's not happening! Our quakers are free to do what they want

Its made me happy but,
They are a pest. Its a shame.
The Rspb have made parakeet proof feeders!
I was incensed reading about them.
But parakeet flocks are noisy, messy, destructive and costly.
I do love them though!

I don't mind a bunch of Quakers screaming outside nor do I mind being poop on my head by a Quaker now and again. I would love to have them outside my place

I know they're doing no good to our own birds, but that's the same with every animal everywhere you go. And they're not like huge pests, cause there aren't too many of them tehe

There are about 75.000!!! IRN they cause huge losses.
A fruit farm near London was devestated last year by them.
They caused 4,000 worth of damage!
but the birds suffered last winter and numbers are reduced this year.
I think we introduced them, they're here, so we have to live with it.
Life's tough enough as it is! without us killing them off.
I'd love to see them living near me.
My Aunt lived near London and they used to invade their pear tree every year.
My uncle had an aviary full of Budgies.
Maybe thats where I get it from!?
