Talking New Job!

So... I had a job interview today, I have a second "working interview" Friday where I will be shadowing the techs and doctors to see if I'm a good fit, but I essentially have a job working at a vet's office!

I will be starting as a receptionist, but as I work there and as they test my knowledge and see where I can best help them, I may move to an assistant or technician The nice advantage I have is, while they don't have any specialists, they do see exotics. They have one tech who is comfortable with birds and exotics, but not really anyone else. So I will have a nice edge!

I'm very excited! It'll be nice to be working again and I'm SO excited to work with animals again!

Well, the shadow day was certainly fun! I learned a LOT! I groomed a few dogs nails, I prepped a bunch of vaccines and ran a few tests, helped hold while they cared for a few injured animals and changed bandages n such... it was really great. They will be calling me sometime next week to let me know how it went, the manager needs to talk to the people I trained with to see what they say. She didn't sound super positive, but it's hard to say - she probably can't say one way or another until she talks to the doctors. I have a job interview with Starbucks Monday, so at least I have a backup. I just really want the vet job So fingers crossed!

Honestly I think it would be such a shame to waste your vast knowledge with animals working at Starbucks. I always thought you got a good head on your shoulders, so I do hope for you that you'll get vet job. Keep pursuing it, the future is bright, the future is orange.

I GOT THE JOB! I start tomorrow!! I'm so excited! I start tomorrow from 9-5! I will be starting at reception but moving from there. If they decide to put me on the floor, they do their training and certification for vet techs in house so I won't have to spend any money on classes it sounds like
