Jenny, I love Harris' hawks when they're in immature plumage! Sadly when I bought Chalkie I never had a good camera, only disposable ones I have the actual pictures but I don't have them to put on the computer The aplomado sure is beautiful. I had a man stop and ask me the other day what kind of falcon she was and I just stood there like she's a falcon, sat amongst all the other falcons she is very very very pretty. She refuses to fly to a lure though, never has and is positive that she never will either. She flies to guests fists on experiences well though
TIPPA WHY DID YOU SHOW ME THAT !?!?! I have wanted a red tailed hawk for SO long, I have all the equipment and everything, but I don't have the time right now I couldn't get one at all before! Grrr, can you get him Tippa? Hehe. 250 is VERY cheap for a red tail. They're usually about 400
You could keep him indoors as long as he gets to go outside with you. As long as he isn't with the parrots, you could keep him on a weighted bow perch and have it over some newspaper that you'd just throw away daily
You really think so? I think that the barn owls are very pretty and I do love them, but my favourite owls are definitely spectacled or Peruvian striped owls barn owls are very common here, maybe that is why kinda like Harris' hawks, they're absolutely beautiful, but you see them all the time, and Eurasian eagle owls!!!
