Gaia is Lovely!!

Every day I fall more and more in love with my little Leopard Gecko, Gaia!
Except for the other day when she bit me twice, she's been lovely! (First time didn't hurt, second did. I think she thought my fingers were worms...)
Her belly is soooo soft and it's fun watching her hunt and stalk her "prey" (aka Superworms, Mealworms, and Crickets). She isn't a great hunter when it comes to the Crickets though, lol. I usually have to herd them towards her so that she can catch them.
The last few days I've started handling her since she is now settled in wonderfully. She tries to squirm away at first but after a few minutes she settles down.
I can't wait to watch her grow up, and I can't wait to see how big she gets! (Leo's can grow to be up to 10 inches in the regular variety, giant varieties are a different story).
I hope she becomes my little cuddle bug!

I will try to get some more pictures of her in the next couple of days for those of you who would like some.

Yep! Just depends on the species and such. Female Leos usually get to about 8 inches.

I didn't know you loved sharks too Daisy. I'm crazy about them, at sea world in Ca they have this amazing shark exibit, with a tunnel going under and through the shark tank, I just love it and they have some small sharks you can touch.

I've been in so many of those shark tank tunnels! There is one not too far from me at the SeaLife Centre in Birmingham I'd love to see a whale shark! I know two or three places have successfully kept great whites and then released them not long after

I've heard of only one Aquarium that has a Whale Shark and it was only a Juvi, not full grown. It'd be so cool though!

I've only ever been to sea world myself for aquariums. I have been to the wild animal park in san diego, I love the lorikeet enclosure, thats how I became obsessed with lorikeets. you can feed giraffe's there too.
