Travelers!!

I thought this would be a neat thread.

Who here loves to travel and where have you been?! Where would you like to go in the future?

I've been to the States of course since I used to live only 30 minutes from the border in BC.

I went on a trip a few years ago with my Mom, Aunty, and Grandma to Scotland and then for a couple days to England to visit family. My Great Aunt and my Grandma's best friend (we call her Aunty though) live in Scotland in Wemyss Bay and Greenock. My Grandma was born in Greenock and grew up there, my Grandpa was born in Port Glasgow and grew up there. They moved to Canada after they were married.
We were in Scotland for 2 weeks and for 1 week we drove all around the country from Glasgow to Sterling to Edinburgh down to England, then to Melrose and some smaller towns along the coast back up to Wemyss Bay!!

Then a couple of years ago me and my Fiance went to Europe during his HLTA where he got 1 month off from his tour in Afghanistan. We went to The Netherlands (Amsterdam), then to Germany (Koln), then to Belgium (Brussels), then to France (Caen, some small towns, Juno beach, Paris) , then to Greece (Athens). It was amazing!!!

In the future I would love to go all over the place, I have SOOOO many places I want to go that I won't even try to list them all.

I would love, love, LOVE to move to Scotland one day before I'm old. When we went there to visit it just felt like home, like I was meant to be there. It honestly felt more like home than my ACTUAL home, which was weird.

Anyways, I would love to hear about all of your guy's adventures and planned adventures!!

One of my favorite topics, second to parrots, of course! I LOVE to travel! I've been many places in the U.S. a few places in Canada, two Countries in Central America (Mexico and Costa Rica), and lots of places in the Caribbean. The Caribbean is most definitely my favorite place to visit, to include Costa Rica and Mexico.

We went to Costa Rica for the first time last year and tried our very best to find wild parrots, but were unsuccessful getting photos. We did find a flock of Conures up high in a tree canopy. We loved waking up early in the mornings there to the sounds and sighs of three types of monkeys in the rainforest, and we also saw many sloths. The animals were the highlight of our trip there!

I'd really love to one day visit Belize, more of Mexico, and other parts of Central America. Australia, India, Japan, China, New Zealand too...not sure if I'll ever make it to all of those places, but it's great fun to dream!!!

TripAdvisor.com is one of my most favorite websites, and it's the site we use when deciding where to stay just about anywhere!

That sounds awsome! I'd love to go to Brazil!
Some places I'd like to go are Easter Island, Galapagos, Thailand, South America, Hungary, Japan, etc. I would love to go somewhere tropical to scuba dive!

Awsome! We were going to go to Mexico about a year and a half ago but didn't end up going.
I want to go there but I'm also afraid to because in the past couple of years there has been quite a few Canadians killed there...

Oh! I didnt know that.
We stayed at Xcaret in an all in hotel.
Grand flamenco occidental Xcaret.
Linked to park next door.
Not bad shopping nearby either.
It was a holiday of a lifetime.
We visited the mayan pyramid ruins
I found it amazing, but kinda creepy.
And the pyramid too steep to climb.
It was very humid as well, I drank 5 bottles of gatorade!
At least I could tick it off my bucket list!

Yeah, I'd still love to go there, but I don't know when we would.
We were going to stay in an all inclusive hotel too but you can't just stay at the hotel the whole time, right?! I was wanting to go to the Mayan ruins, that would have been so cool!!

One day, yes.

Oh, and really? Depends where you go in the US I guess, it's a huge country for sure.
Canada on the other hand is AWSOME! :P I suggest BC. Canada though is more of a country you would go to if you love nature because there aren't many "monuments" or anything of that like.

I go to Orlando every year for 3 weeks to a month in one go usually either early in the year like June or in November. I've been to Tenerife for a week and that was about 4 or 5 years ago maybe and I went to Portugal in 2009 if I am correct. I haven't been to Florida last year or this year because the people I go with have had a baby and are having another But we have a caravan quite far from our home so we can go on weekend breaks and weeks off etc there. There's two or three cities and towns near by with loads of shopping so it isn't too bad at all. It's free too Me and Jack are going on holiday to Tenerife for a week this November for my 18th birthday (well I'm 18 on the 29th of October and we're going on the 18th November until the 25th) and staying in the same hotel I did when I was younger. Next year we're thinking of going to Cancun (with my grandmother and Jack), the year after we wanna visit Canada and then after that Jack will be 21 so we can hire a car and we can go back to FL

I really want to visit Japan. That's my main priority really. I'm not overly interested in other places but there's so many things I wanna do there

I'll go whereever my cash takes me. I can't afford anything too big this year as I'm having to save for my macaw (very slowly) and my holiday (which is why it's hard to save for the macaw!).
