Re-do!

I re-did Gaia's tank today because the background I had in there was making it so that she didn't use like 2/3rds of her tank. It was too wide and her humid hide made it so that the tank was basically divided in half.

This is what it looks like now!

I got the pot and rocks from the dollar store. The pot has a flat bottom because it's one of the ones meant to hang on a wall, it was $2. The rocks were 2 seperate bags that cost $1 each.

I think it looks great now.

Oh ps- I was going to get some fake plants from the dollar store too to put in there but I couldn't decide what would look good so I left it for now. I will go back to get some soon though!

That looks so cool!! I really like the pot/vase, maybe try a tall plant in the right side of the tank? Hows she doing now?

Thanks! I didn't put anything in the top right part of her tank that is in the corner behind her warm hide because that's where she poops. :P (yes, Leopard Geckos only go in one spot )
I was thinking of putting some plants behind the pot and beside it in the corners.

Gaia is doing good! I haven't handled her since Friday I believe because every night I have been going to bed really late and am too exhausted to do anything else, lol. I just feed her and go to sleep.
She has been shaking a tiny bit when walking though which is a sign of calcium deficiency. Even though she has pure calcium powder in her tank at all times I've been told she could be having difficulties absorbing it. Soooo the breeder I got her from is coming over tomorrow morning to take a look at her!

Cool! Why are you trying to get rid of her tank? I need to upgrade Gaia to a 20 or 30 gallon soon too.

That would probably be a good thing... lol. Get some sleep girly!!
I usually stay up until midnight so that I can have some alone time without Mason being awake after he goes to bed at 8pm. Lately though I've been more tired for some reason, lol.

Leo is in a 40 gallon now, so that's why I'm trying to get rid of his old 20 gallon. Sometimes petco has the $10 per 10 gallon sale. That's when I bought our 40. $40 isn't bad for a tank that size! Maybe they'll have another sale you can look into

Ahhhh ok, makes sense!
That's a great price for a 40 gallon! 20 gallons at the pet store I go to are like $40 something. o_o

Do you coat her worms and crickets in the powder? I put Leos food in a small mason jar with calcium powder and shake it lightly before I feed him. He ignores the small bowl of powder I used to keep in there with him.

Thanks! I liked it too but it just wasn't practical. I don't want her to be cooped up in one corner, lol.

Yes, I coat her food in the calcium powder as well when I feed her. She does use the calcium dish too (licks at the powder) but apparently she isn't absorbing it well.

That's weird! I hope the breeder can figure out how to fix that!

I hope so too! I was told that if I feed her Phoenix worms instead of Super worms they have a higher calcium level naturally in their bodies which is easier for them to absorb. Sooo I'm going to pick up some Phoenix worms in the next few days here!

Wow! That tank is awesome. I love the rocks and the pot.

Hmm... I'm not sure of a good plant that can go in there.

Thanks! I think it's great, except that now I have to let Gaia settle in AGAIN, LOL.
Yesterday we moved her from the bedroom upstairs to the living room downstairs and today I re-did her tank soooo she's kind of skittish right now.
