Edmonton Valley Zoo

My Mom, Brother, Mason, and I went to the Edmonton Valley Zoo today and it was pretty good! Most of the zoo was under construction so that was lame but it was still nice.. especially since it was free, lol.
Here are some photos from today!

Burrowing Owls

I think this was a Great Horned Owl? I didn't see the sign.

Snowy Owls

Can't remember what Falcons these were..

Barred Owl

They also had a Bald Eagle but I didn't get a photo... and he looked pretty depressed and scraggly anyways.

I love the Birds of Prey area!!

Ahahaha, nice Kennedy! We didn't get to see the Elephant as she was "on a walk" somewhere...
It also wasn't amazing because 80% of the zoo was under construction and not open to the public so we got to see way less anyimals than you normally would.

They're peregrines by the way oh and the Eurasian eagle owl is the one that you said may be a great horned owl. Eurasians are the largest owl on the planet and they're a different colour and shape to the great horned. They're like mottled gold with orange eyes (they are crepuscular) while the great horned is a dark browny/blacky/grey colour and has yellow eyes. The Eurasian is also considerably larger

Thanks for the info. Daisy! I thought they were Peregrines but I couldn't remember.
I love the Burrowing Owls, they are so cute!
