New additions :)

Okay so I just left petco. I went in for a turtle and walked out with 2 hamsters. So here's the story, I saw this hamster I liked and thought I love that hamster. So I went on to look at the reptiles, but nothing really struck my fancy. So I decided to get that hamster. So while the guy is getting the box I notice the other hamster getting upset and my instinct is telling me maybe I should take that one too. So I don't say anything and the guy gives me the paper to fill out, so he goes to get my hamster and starts telling them they have to say goodbye now. So then he starts telling me how those two are friends and have been together awhile and all this stuff. So I was like "I'll take both". So I get to the registar and the manager asks which one I took soo the guy tells him that I took the two big ones, and how wonderful it is they are staying together and the manager is now thanking me for keeping them together. Okay that's my little story. I'll post pics when I get home. Lol now I guess I can have hamster races with my mom.

How old are they, because once they hit sexual maturity, they will want to kill each other most likely. Unless its a strange case of friendly hamsters, because the teddies, robos, black bears, and longhairs once they hit maturity tried to kill each other. It does not matter what gender, females take a little longer to hit that stage, but when it comes, it comes with VENGEANCE. I'm not saying this to scare you, but we had hamsters with huge wounds because of fighting.

Lol, thanks Camille. No worries, I used to breed hamsters. And yeah I had to break up a few fights myself, so everybody was housed alone. I don't think they will stay together permanently, at least I'll be shocked if they do, but for the moment they love each other. They are Syrian short hairs, I didn't ask age . But they are older, probably around 6 months.

Awww, congrats on the adorable new additions! I love the grey-ish and white one.
I'm scared of Hamsters, they always bite me. I used to work at Petcetera and I was always afraid when someone would ask to see a hamster and I had to go pick one up, lol.
I would love a hand-tame black bear hamster though.

Thanks everyone .

Kayla, Back years ago when I bred them I had a satin black teddy bear hamster, she was huge too. lol I actually have a scar on my finger from at least 10 years ago where one of my hamsters bit me.

Thanks Camille, I don't know why some people refuse to believe that , poor little hamster.
