Southern Alberta Flooding

Not sure if any of you have heard but a lot of Southern Alberta is completely flooded right now and hundreds of thousands of people have been evacuated from Calgary and other small communities South.

Please keep all evacuees in your thoughts.

As well keep all of the Firefighters, Police, EMTs, Search and Rescue and Military in your thoughts.

My partner, Mike, deployed at noon today to help with the rescue efforts and I'm not sure when he'll be home. I'm just really hoping he stays safe as I don't even know what he'll be doing down there.

Thanks

Just saw it on the news this morning. God it looks bad.

Unfortunately our weather forcast is not good either. Reports that tonight we will get heavy rain and high winds for the next couple of days.

Hope everyone stays safe over there in Canada.

Apparently 2 have been reported dead and there are 4 or so people missing supposed dead.

Edmonton has also now been put on flood watch (thankfully not where I live as we are high enough above the river level and further away).

Apparently Mike is suspected to be there for 4 days starting tomorrow, although with the Military you never know; 4 days could turn to 3 weeks.

I seen it here on the news in Australia and I am shocked. My thoughts are with everyone, their pets and animals.

This summer there are so many terrible floods all over the world.
In East Germany it was the same two weeks ago.

It's crazy! In the past 2 days Mike has been in Calgary, High River, Cochrane, and Medicine Hat. He is going all over the place doing what he can to help.
So proud of my Man. <3

Update on Medicine Hat is that the barriers the guys made held up over night and the water is now receding/going down. Awsome news! ^_^
