pictures of my daughter (and sons)

You all asked for pictures of my daughter Cannary when the adoption finalized. I know it has been a while, but here are some.

These first three are from when she came for a summer hosting program in July of 2008. The first one is the very first time I saw her. The last two are a couple of weeks later outside our home.

In the first picture she is carrying the white teddy bear. She was scared to death after having flown half-way around the world with a social worker and a few others in the program. She cried all the way home, poor kid.

She's absolutely beautiful! I'm so glad life is good for her, now...and your life will be so blessed because of her.

The two pictures of Cannary are pictures of her when she turned nine in September of 2009. She had gone back to the Philippines in August of 2008, after a one month hosting program here, to await all of the immigration documents finalizing, which took eight full months! She had been back here in the states for good for about 5 months when these were taken.

The one with the boys was taken in June of 2009, two months after she immigrated. I loaded them out of order, sorry.

Oh, and it is not a very good picture of my 21 year old, but he deserves to have bad pictures of him posted because he won't help his mother figure this out!

My older son, Kevin, is on the left in the picture. Cannary is in the middle. Paul, who was turning 21 that day, is on the right.

Thanks so much, Sharon.

I have a couple of pictures on the phone with Cannary now and Daisy Pi. Again, I don't know how to get them from the phone to the computer, lol. I think I will threaten to post all the bad pictures I have of Paul until he shows me how.

Jenny,

I think I've noticed you doing this with other posts. Is there any way to put the two posts with the pictures of my kids on the linnie forum in a new thread there? Folks there have asked for pictures of Cannary, too. If it can't be done, I'll have to bite the bullet and try to upload again there, which is doable, but I thought I'd ask.

What a beautiful family, nanay! How is Cannary adjusting to life in the US?

Cannary has adjusted rapidly. It seems to have been relatively easy for her, but I am sure it has not been. She was very attached to her Filipino foster family, and rightfully so because they were wonderful to her. I cannot say enough good things about the Filipino adoption program in general, her particular foster care agency, and the foster family who welcomed her into their lives for four years. She is who she is today because they all made great sacrifices to see to her needs.

Thank you for posting pics of your kids. They are all beautiful! Cannery has come a long way, what a blessed girl. You can e mail the pics from your phone to yourself and download from there. Thats what I do. Or if you have a memory card in your phone take it out and pop it in the computer and download that way. More pics please!

Yes, the phone has a memory card, but I don't know how to use it, lol. It is a hand-me-down from my son.

Thank you for your kind words.

And, yes, I am blessed beyond belief to have them all three as children.

Don't worry, Nanay....We're at the age where we just can't keep up with technology, and just when we think we've learned something, it changes! Sometimes my brain gets so exhausted!!!

Yes there is Nanay and I can help. BTW your children are beautiful.
You can send me the pics or I can help you post them. Send me a PM and I'll give you my email address. The Linnie Forum members would love to see them.

Nanay, unfortunately you'd have to upload them again. If you're having issues, then Cess' offer might be your best bet If not, I can help you with it as well, I'll just drag and drop the photos from here into a thread on the linnie forum. If you want to do that, let me know in a PM ok?

Thank you very much, Michelle.

Now if my older son would just return from his class in Europe to pick up his cats! They are such brats!
