Safe non-electric heaters?

So almost every winter we have some sort of storm that knocks out power. I was wondering what types of portable non-electric heaters are safe to use around the birds?

I'm not entirely sure, so I will look forward to seeing others answer. I know a lot of heaters are unsafe cause of the Teflon and stuff

Tricky one this!
I use a portable LPG heater away from the birds. But if they were in the same area this could be considered a hazard.
So I feel the only safe alternative heater would need to be vented to the outside. Wood Burner, Open fire, LPG heater, Fuel heater.

As usual this is only my opinion.

A tribute to my lost ones. RIP.
