Kijiji is evil to me...

I was looking on Kijiji today when I saw an ad for baby GCCs.

I looked and it was a breeder who had one Cinnamon baby available and then had a Pineapple and regular GCCs going to be ready soon.

The breeder looked great in the add and on her website. Feeds her birds Pellets, fruit, veggies, grains, herb salad, etc, etc, etc. All of her birds are pets as well as breeders (so they are tame and out all the time), etc.

Her babies are SOOOOOOOOOOO freaking gorgeous, omg. I want the Cinnamon GCC so badly.

Sad thing is, is that I don't have a cage and such right now. If I didn't already have money down on getting my Geckos and such this weekend I would totally splurge on getting a cage and everything and then get one of these babies!

Blah!

Why Kijiji, why must you taunt me so?! I have been without a feathered friend for so long!

I even contacted someone who had posted an ad for a gorgeous little green and yellow tame Budgie but he had already been sold a few days ago.

Sad Kayla is sad.

Sounds like an emergency to me!

And God said, "...let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky." And God saw that it was good.

I think I know the breeder you are talking about. I can't post who she is here, but she does breed the different varieties of GCC. She also breeds parrotlets but has a different website for them. I got my little parrotlet from her, and he's awesome! If you want to know her website for GCC or parrotlets, just PM me! She is a good breeder but she does advertise on Kajiji when she has new clutches.

Thanks guys, I realize I should have kept my cage from Hermes, lol. I wanted him to have a good cage in his new home though.

I also saw an ad for 2 gorgeous Lovebirds with a big cage but they aren't fully tame. I am thinking about trying to convince Mike to let me get them though, lol.

We have some evil bird sites here in UK too. My intention from the start was only to have just the one bird. Look at me now, 9 BIRDS! those bird sites are evil

I'm not going to even comment on my experiences

I think you should start saving for a companion bird after you've bought these geckos you NEED a birdy companion, it's clearly getting you down!

You can find great cages on craigslist. My dad just got a stacker for $100.

Be careful about thinking of getting semi tame lovebirds, they maybe small but their beaks are massive, . Lovebirds have got bad reputation in the forum, I don't want anyone else to complain about them, it's not fair, my little lovie is a sweetheart,

Thanks guys, lol. I want to, so badly! Problem is, is that I can barely find someone to pet sit for us as it is. Adding more Geckos is going to make it even more difficult, let alone adding a Bird again!

I would agree with the rest if you were single and free then I'd say get a bird. You have a family and all parties must agreed first otherwise it's a no go. Harmony in the household is utmost importance, this is why I said on FB you're an awesome wife for any man

Thank you very much! :P
I do want Mike to agree to a new feathered friend. I wouldn't want to go out and get a Parrot and have the poor thing be a point of resentment between Mike and myself.
I am definitely going to be saving up for one in the future though. Instead of just getting the first bird I think is cute I am going to save up to get my dream bird.

What bird(s) do you intend on saving up for then ? Just one bird or a couple orrrrr? What do you plan on being your next bird?
