Christmas Day!

Well, Christmas finally came.....and so did my new flight cage!! It's spectacular! I absolutely love it. I also got some other birdie things. Sorry these pictures are so crappy....I took it with my phone....

Here's a picture of it after we set it up. It's empty at this point.

Here it is after I've put in the toys and perches and stuff I currently have. I think I'll be going on a birdie toy shopping spree soon so I can actually fill the thing up! It looks so empty!

Here's MinMin in her new cage! I think she really likes it. I know I would! It's HUGE.

Here is her little "Bird Kabob" Santa (my Mom and Dad) got her.

Here's her new eating area in her cage with her new dishes.

Here is a little toy my brother got Minnie.

Here are two three foot ladders I got for the birds. Now they can go from their cages down to the floor without my help!

Here is my budgies' current cage. It might change though, I'm not sure. I might be switching them. (And by the way, I HATE this cage. It is SO difficult to use.)

For any of you that are curious, this cage is Minnie's old cage. Nobody is occupying this cage at the moment. (My dog's head is in the picture.)

Yup! So that's it for pictures at the moment. However, my Mom also gave me money to go to the Bird Farm and buy new bird(s). I'll probably end up just getting two Zebra Finches like my original plan, but I guess it really depends on who I fall in love with. (Hehehe) I'll most likely go on Monday, so when I get back, it'll be time for even MORE pictures!!

Hope you enjoyed! I had a GREAT Christmas.

The cage looks great, and your cockatiel is very beautiful. I'm excited to hear about your new bird or birds once you've chosen.

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

Just measures the cage and got estimate dimensions. The cage itself is about three feet high, just about three feet wide, and two feet deep. However, since the cage came with a stand, the whole thing is about five feet high.

That cage is pretty MASSIVE hehe! What will you be using the old cages for? My problem is:
Cage
Bird
Cage upgrade
Bird goes in upgrade cafe
Buy new bird for other cage
XD that's my case anyways hehe!

Exactly what I am doing! I can't just have an empty cage! I must fill it with some type of bird. Although at this point I have three extra cages.

You have three!? Name some species that you like and can afford and I will tell you what I think :P I have 3 breeding cages free, a large round/long one, a large hanging round one, a small canary type one and a 9 foot long, 6 foot tall, 7 foot wide aviary XD

Haha, my parents stop me from buying birds. That's why I only have four. It's really annoying, I could go on all day complaining about them. They are always like, "We're good parents, we let you have four birds, that's a lot, you don't need anymore, they make too much mess, blah blah blah!" So I can't fill all the extra cages up. Minnie's old cage I do want to put some birds in, that's why I'm going to the Bird Farm tomorrow. I can probably buy anything less than $100 dollars. Anything with only two digits. I need to convince my parents that the birds aren't a big deal. That's why I am thinking lovebirds, or the old idea, finches. I don't really want anymore budgies or cockatiels, I want something new.

Uhm, it's not the money part. I buy EVERYTHING that has to do with birds, including the birds themselves, except for the food. They help with that. Otherwise, I'm paying for vet bills, cages, toys, perches, wing trimmings, nail trimmings, everything. Phew. -wipes sweat off forehead- That's what makes me so angry! I'm paying for everything! I'm caring for them every day! They do nothing! Except tell me I can't have more. Erghh.....

I clip wings and trim nails a lot of the time now, I used to go have them done all the time. But yeah, it's BEYOND annoying. It sometimes makes me want to scream. You are so lucky!

Umm...If I came home with birds randomly, my mother would have a fit. Do you have a lot of land? I would guess you do because of the aviaries. What kind of house do you live in?

No, let me rephrase that, I would end up becoming deaf because of her yelling.

My house is an okay size. I'm glad I don't live in an apartment, just because it would stink when having birds. And I'm glad I have my own room so I can keep birds without it bothering others.
