Wink Tarzan - Alive and well

For those of u listing to the news u must of heard about our floods here in Calgary, AB back in June. Well...we got caught in the flood with a voluntary evauation notice but wouldn't leave Tarzan.
Well..right after that Tarzan my 14yr old GCC got quite sick with a nasty cold. We thought that was it. We did everything we could except stand on out heads and I would have if I thought it would have helped. If it not for him being a tough little guy and my staying up all night with him and alot of prayer he pulled through, so far. He's having some claw issues but all in all he's hanging in there. His eyes, nose are clear and he has a healthy eating habit.
I think what I'm trying to say; never give up on your pets, with a lot of love, care and attention and them knowing your looking out for them, you just never know.

What a relief!!
Hope your house isn't too soaked.
And yes it probably wouldn't be bad to still take him to the vet just in case he's still harbouring something.
I love his name

So glad that you and Tarzan made it through the flood! Tarzan knows you love him and I believe that a bird will fight harder to live when he knows he is loved. I agree: never give up on your pet. I kept my little parrotlet alive for three years after the vet had given up on her due to a zinc toxicity issue. She was so brave and only left me when her poor little body had nothing left to give. She was a trooper. Your Tarzan sounds just like her.

Hi mousesurfer, nice to meet you.
I'm glad that you and Tarzan are alright.
Birds are little fighters. Did Tarzan's cold look like this?

(Fortunately this linnie also survived.)

Glad to know all is well Birds cannot catch colds though, may I add. I would get him to a vet as soon as possible if you haven't already
