GCC's in pairs/groups?

I've seen a lot of pics of people with more than one GCC. Do they just play together or are they housed together too? Like with Linnie's, keep 2 males (or females) together? I may be making a run Sunday for a hardly used larger cage for Shelby and was kicking around the idea of maybe eventually getting her a buddy... Will it affect her bonding with me? She's really starting to open up to me, she was my major study partner during final this past week! If so I may just wait... I know some folks have had success with supervised play with Linnie's and 'lets.... I have plans during my winter break to do a lot of rearranging and making toys and stands. (Have a whole case of vet wrap to use up, LOL!)

I have kept them in pairs and groups and unless you have an aviary I don't recommend it. It's not nice walking in your bird room to find your first ever hand reared bird and green cheek dead, missing their upper mandible her sibling had killed her. They acted super bonded all of the time though. Very sad. If you want another green cheek house them separately and supervise out of cage time

I have a male/female pair and a GCC female bonded to a Peach Front male. They chose each other and love each other to death (they call like maniacs when they are separated). My GCC male was abused before coming to me and, although he calmed down a lot, he is very possessive of his mate. The Peachfront is handicapped and very people unfriendly (parent-raised and used as a breeder until he got hurt) and he also calls and calls when I take the GCC hen for a little love. Both females became and stayed very affectionate even after they bonded with the males. AND they stopped asking for constant attention and started eating much better when they got mates.

So it's pretty much both ends of the spectrum... Hmmm, I may hold off til I get better arranged for the fids. Maybe the lady I got Shelby from will have another hatch in the spring. Dunno if she sold the 2 regular male siblings she had or not. She did sell Shelby's sister that day at the show.

I've kept 2 girls and male and female pairs. I have a very bonded pair of conures, one is a GCC and the other is BCC. They live in an aviary though so there's always somewhere to move to get away from one another. If you want another bird, but are only getting a green cheek for your current bird, then get whatever bird you want. Your GCC will still appreciate another birds company, even if they're not in the same cage

I already have the rest of the flock she talks to from the bedroom. Or when I have her on me while wandering around the house. I'm going to be rearranging things now winter break is here so everybody can be in their cages in the same room.
