My newest addition...

Rex (I'm not going to change his name)
He's my early christmas present and was told he's a male and approx 5 years old, we picked him up on Wednesday and he seems to be settling in ok. We got his cage, toys and alot of food with him so he was all set, I've left his cage set up as is to help him settle.
He has such a great personality and we were told all the little things about him and what he likes to do and will be giving updates to his previous owners as they were sad to see him go but felt they didn't have enough time for him anymore.

Here he is

I was told just a Rainbow, I don't really know many of the different lorikeets. What's a Blue Mountain Swainson look like?

https://www.talkparrots.com/showthread.php?t=9170 if you look in this thread you'll see some photos of Pip, a Blue Mountain Swainson's I fostered. I believe they're what most people think of when they talk about a rainbow lorikeet

Thanks
He seems to be pretty tame, when we went to meet him and asked if he would let us hold him they said that they hadn't really taken him out much and it was the same with scratches they hadn't tried that either, also that he had never bitten them. But he did come out for us and still is now, gives us kisses, rubs his head on our hands and doesn't mind being handled I even managed to roll him over and he hasn't bitten us yet (touch wood) but he needs work on scratches everytime I go for his head he steps up, not to sure he knows what I'm trying to do

I only have one bird that likes his head to be rubbed. So he may just not like it.
Good luck and keep us/me posted. lol
