Christmas is Coming!

So are you all getting excited for Christmas? I sure am! I am so excited to see my Son's reaction on Christmas morning when he gets his stocking and presents!
This will be the first year that he'll actually understand more of what's going on.

Are any of you planning on splurging for gifts for your Animal Family? I am thinking about getting some toys for the Cats. That's about it though, lol.

Post pictures!

Every year I usually spend a ton on toys and treats for the flock, however, I don't have a flock to spoil and won't have any new additions just yet I have yet to get Boots anything, but so far for the dogs I've bought a collar which didn't fit, a sweater which didn't fit and a new bed for Bailey. Toby ended up having Bailey's new sweater and Candy got the collar!

My boys are grown and they get money, so Christmas isn't that exciting. I loved it when the boys were little.

Awww, no kidding! I am "grown" and moved out of my house and my middle brother is grown up, sort of, but him and my youngest brother are still living at my Parents, ha.
I love the idea of giving my Son amazing memories of Christmas and just life like I have!

well Bjorn's birthday's on the 23rd so i'm sort of doing things for that instead thinking of making some crunch corn rings, and pulling out a new toy from my toy box. and making them a salad with their favorite stuff!

I just make a special birdy bread for the birds (walnuts, almonds, brazil nuts, filberts, dried figs, dates, raisins, cranberries, mashed sweet potato and real maple syrup) and splurge on something like fresh figs which the birds love and this time of the year are super expensive (especially since I have to buy 2 containers because there are so many).

The cats don't get anything because there is nothing special that they would like (they don't go for treats and I never put collars on them anymore) but they do get warm cat milk (which is not really special as they get it once a week during the winter).

The dogs get groomed and they all get a raw marrow bone on Christmas day as well as a special dinner on Christmas eve (brown rice with ground beef and bacon).

My fids are not too keen on toys any more since they've been adults.
So this year they will only get their favorite egg cracker.

Sounds awesome guys!
As for play gyms, sometimes birds can take quite a while to warm up to new toys and new environments.
When I had my 'Tiel, Hermes, I got him a small wooden play gym and he was terrified of it for weeks before he'd even walk on it!

Bert and I moved to California in 1975. Have never gone back to the Chicago area for Christmas with all that snow, even though I have a big family there. Never had human kids, our choice We celebrate the holidays with our gang of cats and my 4 birds. The cats have more fun with wrapping paper, paper bags and catnip as their treat I asked Santa for another bird, he just rolled his eyes so I think not. Having a son to share in the holiday is a blessing in it's self have fun, a picture would be nice to see! We make our own fun., besides Bert is a fantastic cook!!!

We are getting excited! My girls are 5 and 8 We just did Santa pictures today! (and they got their Christmas dresses).

This year we got stockings for the dog and 2 birds. The dog and the budgie have a Christmas present. i ordered a cool branch stand and toy for Rio today. Not sure if they will arrive in time though so he may just get some millet!

We are all excited though!
