Meet Uno

For those of you who read my "Introduction" yesterday, I've just taken some photos of Uno and her cage set up, which I'll post now .

I will offer her vegies on a daily basis, and yesterday I offered her the same vegie mix I feed Tilly on a daily bassis, which she didn't seemed overly fussed on, so today I offered her a small corn cob.

I'm a strong believer in offering all my flock a healthy diet, and offer vegies on a daily basis, not that they all eat them, though they will all eat celery, especially the leaves. They also get some seed and some pellets too.

I'll post some photos of the rest of my flock later.

Cheers,

John.

I love Uno! She looks adorable how lucky she is to have an owner give her such great food. Can't wait to see pics of the rest of your flock.

Meet The Rest Of The Flock

Here's the rest of the flock.

Meet Tilly, she's the number one bird, well she thinks she is, and she's bonded so well with my wife.

Then there's Aussie and Bundy, who are outside budgies. They don't have a tame feather in their bodies, and just love living outside on the back patio. They don't lack attention as I spend a great deal of time out there with them.

And last, but certainly not least is little Skye, who lives in the office where I spend most of my time.

Cheers,

John.

Very cute! I love your photos. Skye looks spoiled...but so does everyone just like it should be.

John Uno is lovely. The dark factors are really sensational in colour.

Uno is a beauty as well as all your flock is adorable.
The little girl didn't like her nice veggie meal? Don't be too disappointed, perhaps she will learn. Many pet birds need time to like fresh food.

I'm not disappointed, I'll persist with the vegies as I believe that they need a mixed diet. I wasn't sure that she had even tasted vegies before. Today I'll try her on some fruit and see how that goes as she didn't touch the corn I offered her yesterday.

Cheers,

John.

Thanks Kate, until now I've never really had anything to do with lovebirds, but since Uno decided to adopt me I've done quite a bit of "Googling" seeking information on them.

Yesterday I saw two "Dilute Blue Masked Lovebirds" at my favourite pet shop here in Bundaberg, which I didn't find as appealing to the eye as Uno.

This is one big learning curve for me now, but one I'm really enjoying too.

Cheers,

John.

Your whole flock are stunning, thank you for sharing. As for Uno eating her veggies, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Once she knows what they taste like she will be straight in! I definitely find lovies to be some of the best eaters
