New birds!

I boxed everything up today from Alex's house. I've took everything except for Chewee and the two budgies... so I took, 14 birds? Well now they're all happy in my aviary While I was out today I ended up purchasing two more Chinese painted quail and a breeding pair of budgies to add to the flock. They're all happy and doing fine, two of the kakariki mated as soon as they got to mine and the one budgie keeps trying with the other one Hopefully we'll have some babies this year

Pics up asap

I thought you had kaks on eggs? Did you have some eggs earlier or am I crazy?

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

All of my birds were at Al's for the time being. Well not Chalkie. But they've moved back in now and did I not say the eggs were infertile? Sorry! I am forgetful

Daisy,
You probably DID say the eggs were infertile. In fact, now that you mention it, I am pretty certain you did. I just forgot.

I expect you are happy to have them closer, although if you spend a great deal of time at your boyfriend's you wouldn't see them any more regardless of which place they were housed.

And I know you've already said this a million times, but is Chalkie the hawk? And, if so, is he/she a Harris hawk?

Thanks Shivani for the awesome siggy!

Congratulations on the new birds! Good luck finding names. So you are definitely breeding those budgies then?

Yes yes! I got a new pair Abby! Ones a yellow face blue and the other a normal blue. Very cute they've mated already haha!

Bad news guys, one of Daisy's new quails died :/ no reason what so ever for it. It was fine one minute and the next dead. I gotta go get the money back for it. Poor thing. The other new quail isn't being treated well by the others. Those three have been together for ages, and I don't think they like outsiders. So I'm having to get refunds. Which is not only very silly but it's also very sad. Daisy spent so long carefully selecting those two

Oh yeah guys I forgot to mention that poor little thing. I really don't care much for buying from stores, they may look heathy but nope. I'd only had it a matter of hours!

Aww, I'm sorry...
I would be so hurt if that happened, since I have so few birds! (Compared to you, Daisy.)
Will you replace it?

Nah I think if the other one goes too I'm going to leave it. My first bunch in there are really aggressive so I don't wanna risk any more. I also have a kakariki who is going through such a heavy molt he has no flight feathers or tail. So he might as well be a quail! He's doing fine getting around. He runs around on the mesh and I've put the food in a place for him to reach haha. Poor little soul. He'll be fine
