Thanks to your comments Patience paid off..

Hi, I rescued Jenday Conure who has problems and I almost gave up.
Your comments helped me to see that patience is the key.

The other day he peeked his head out and flew to the chair and then went back in, but he would not allow me to give him the step up, I do not think he knows what that is.

So today with all the patience I could muster up When he came to the door I showed him my finger I did not push it on him and he grabbed my finger with is beak and got himself on my finger so gently. He walked up my arm and I was so excited when he reached my shoulder and just stayed there.

He was so quiet and nice, I am getting more fond of him every day.

I have come to realize that when he screams "right now" that is was probably what his owner used to yell to shut him up "you be quiet RIGHT NOW". So I tried it and it worked. LOL. but he will not be getting yelled at by me.

He just needed to come out and feel like he is finally home....

Congratulations!! We have no idea how these rescued birds, even my rescued cats have been treated or fed. With love, human contact with kindness, patience, and a happy environment they will learn trust and be the bests pets ever
